My Experience

I have worked with Children since leaving school in several different settings but nothing compares to opening up my home and welcoming each Child to becoming part of our extended family.

In 2022 I was one of a lucky few chosen by LCC to be given fully funded Forest School Leader training- this ignited a spark and would change the way I work forever.

I love the fact that our daily routine is so flexible, there is so much freedom in our day to go out and have adventures, for this reason i have chosen not to take on school children as it really does cut into the routines of the little ones.
I am a firm believer that Children always learn best through play that relates to their current interests, I always work very closely with parents and encourage them to share their child's interests and achievements from home which will add to their own personal learning journeys.

To help with this I use a software which parents can log on to during the day to have a look at their Child's diary's and also to look at photos of what activities we have been getting up to! It's very important to me to build great relationships with all parents as communication really is the key to all children being happy and settled.

My Qualifications

My qualifications are;

-Level 3 Forest School Leader
-NVQ level 2 and 3 Childcare and Early years Education
-Paediatric first aid (updated every 3 years)
-Food hygiene
-High/Scope Training
-NSPCC Safeguarding Children plus 6 Year safeguarding Training Pathway
-Elklan Speech Therapy
-Healthy eating in the early years
-EYPDP ( Early years Maths, Communication and Personal social and emotional development)
