About Me
Hello, my name is Natalie and I run Price's Place Childcare. We provide a kind, caring and fun environment, where the children are encouraged and supported in their play. We create activities in all areas of learning and development based around their individual interests. Our setting is very much a home from home environment and we want all the children we care for to feel happy, safe and confident here.
We have regular outings to places such as country parks, toddler groups, soft play, the beach, the zoo, maldon prom, local farms, and many more.
On days that we stay within the setting, we have a fairly large garden that all the children love to play in. It is well equipped with 2 climbing frames, sand and water tables, balance bikes, scooters, seesaws and plenty of other garden sports and games. We do regular story time and rhyme times. I also provide plenty of opportunities for messy play, arts and crafts, baking and much more.
I have 2 children of my own (a 4 year old and a 1 year old) and a very friendly dog called Motsi! The children love Motsi as she is very affectionate and gentle. She is never left alone with the children and we have plenty of stair gates separating the rooms to ensure this is the case. She also has her own space to go if she wants some rest and to be left alone.
My husband Jamie is my assistant and currently helps with childcare on a Monday.
My Experience
My mum has been a childminder for over 20 years, so I have had plenty of experience!
My first job in childcare was as a nanny in 2014. I looked after 2 little ones, aged 2 and 5. I assisted with every part of caring for them, often staying overnight and getting them up in the morning when their parents worked shifts, or staying later and putting them to bed.
After this, I joined my mums childminding business (Frances Daniels Childminding) as an assistant and have been working with her ever since. Together, we achieved an outstanding rating at her last inspection, which we are both incredibly proud of. We still work alongside each other now that I've started a childminding business of my own, and assist each other within the settings or meet up at toddler groups/outings.
My Qualifications
I attend a paediatric first aid course every 3 years to keep up to date with current best practise. I last attended in June 2024.
I have completed level 3 safeguarding children training April 2024.
I have also completed the following CPD trainings in 2024:
- Awareness of Adverse Childhood Experiences
- Children in care / Looked After Children in
education
- Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) awareness
- Food safety and hygiene for early years settings
- Keeping children safe on the internet
- Recognising and supporting children with SEND
- Working in partnership
I have completed the following CPD trainings in 2025:
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
(PSED) in the early years
- Creating a home learning environment
- Forest Schools and outdoor learning
My Availability
I am currently full until September 2025.
My working hours are Mon - Fri, 7.30am - 5.30pm.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
I charge an hourly rate per child. Snacks, nappies and wipes are included in this, but I ask parents to supply a healthy lunch and dinner.
I accept both tax free childcare and government funded spaces. If you'd like to see my full Fees and Funding policy, please ask and I will be happy to send it to you.
