My Summary
About Me
My name is Claire, i live with my husband and my son who was born in July 2009. We have a cockerpoo called Daisy who is two years old. I love walking and enjoy a run every now and then. We own a campervan which my husband converted for us over lock down so we enjoy weekends away, having recently done the nc500. I have been an Ofsted Registered Childminder since April 2011,I’m a very passionate childminder who loves what i do. I provide a happy, safe environment which provides lots of fun, love and various activities. I hold a CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the children and young peoples workforce.I undertake First Aid training every 3 years, and ongoing safeguarding training every year and when needed. I’m ecat trained and WellComm trained. This helps to identify any early intervention needed for speech and language. Being the Welcomm champion for the area also. I have just completed my level 3 early years senco course and the early years professional development programme. I hold many certificates in various subjects and my continuous professional development is updated to further develop my skills and knowledge. I have designated playroom for the children to explore many resources. We have an extension to what was once a very small kitchen, here the children can eat their meals together while having the room to play in a safe area. I tend to set up the messy play table here, arts and crafts, den building and mats out for the babies. Focused activity etc I have plenty of outdoor space with lots to explore, including a mud kitchen, tuff trays, cozy cabin, slides, water play, sand play, soil area for digging and playing cars in, fairy garden and small world area which the children love playing with the dinosaurs here. We have balance bikes, cozy coupe cars and much more to explore. Most activities are planned and based upon each child’s current stage of development and interests. Regular assessments will be carried out, so parents/carers know how their child is progressing, new activities are then planned to further your child’s development. I have a wide range and ever-increasing number of resources, your child’s day will include structured activities, crafts, baking, messy play, playdoh, story time, singing and music. Time is also set aside for physical play and free play, with a range of toys to stimulate the imagination, challenge the child intellectually and encourage independence in learning. Children will have access to the relevant toys and equipment which they are encouraged to select for themselves and put away when finished. We attend toddler groups throughout the week and i also run a childminders toddler group every other week on a Monday. We always make use of the local libraries, parks, the moss and explore the woods, go to soft play when we can also.
My Experience
I have been an Ofsted registered childminder since April 2011 caring for children aged 4months to 11 years old. I have had 10 plus years doing school runs and having the school holiday children along with the early years children.
As of September 2025 I will be an Early years setting only, this will allow me more time to focus on the early years sector, which has always been my passion.
