About Me
Hi I am an Ofsted registered childminder living in Gorse Covert. I have recently (Oct 19) had my inspection and got OUTSTANDING in all areas. I have two children of my own aged 21 and 24, one at Uni and one is a Teacher.
I use the whole of my spacious downstairs floor to childmind from which includes the dining room with extensive toy storage, living room, kitchen and downstairs bathroom. I have a fully enclosed back garden which has play equipment, a shaded area, sand and water and a play house. I currently have space for over 8,s wraparound from Gorse Covert primary school and limited availability for over 6 months. My availability is term time only;
Monday 7.30-3.15 in sept, none at present.
Tues 9-3.15 in sept, none at present.
Wednesday 9-5.30 now (in sept only available until 3.15 at present)
Thursday 9-5.30 now
Friday 9-5.30 now (in sept only available until 3.15 at present)
Minimum weekly hours are 15. Early enquiries, visits and booking is advised as spaces don’t become available very often, especially with the introduction of the 15/30 hour funding. I am also happy to offer some wrap around spaces 7.30-9 and 3-5.30pm.
My Experience
I hold a teaching Bed music degree and taught at a local primary school for 8 years. I became a childminder 20 years ago when I had my second child. I have looked after children from the age of 4 months all the way to 14 years at High School.
I am also a local Brownie leader and am the safeguarding officer and chairperson for a children’s theatre group.
My Qualifications

First Aid
Safe Guarding
Range of qualifications relating to childcare ie planning, food safety.
My Availability
I work 7.30-6 Monday to Friday, apart from Thursday when I finish at 5.30pm so I can go to Brownies.
I am flexible with full time, part time or a term time only contract.
I collect children from my Gorse Covert primary school and also the local Pre-school.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
£5.00 Hour 8-5.30 charged by the hour
7.30-8 am 5.30-6pm double charged by the half hour due to unsociable hours.
I am fully registered to accept the 15 / 30 hours funding. I don’t charge any extra fees apart from extra hours above the childcare entitlement.
Happy to accept tax free childcare and student finance and universal credit payments.
