About Me
Welcome. I am Claire Flynn, aged 46. I live in Hampden Park of Eastbourne, in a non smoking home and have cats.
I am mother to 2 children, Amelia who is 11 years old and Darcy who is 8. I'm married to Shaun who works for the NHS.
I am Ofsted registered; Good (Jan. 2023).
I have all the required training including child protection, paediatric first aid and EYFS.
I have a playroom and a child friendly garden full of equipment, including a mud kitchen and play house. There are regular visits to the parks, seaside, and toddler groups. We enjoy creative, imaginative and exploratory play. I have a car but enjoy walking whenever possible.
Every child is unique and I work closely with parents to ensure best possible care and development.
My Experience
I have been a childminder since 2014, with current and previous parents more than happy to provide references if you require or are just interested.
I achieved the NNEB diploma in childcare after finishing school. I then worked for 2 years as a teaching assistant in a reception class and then worked for 3 years in a Early Years nursery as a room supervisor, which included designing topic plans and completing regular development progress checks... whilst having lots of fun playing.
And... mother to my 2 girls :-)

Paediatric first aider.
Early Years Foundation Stage.
Safeguarding lead.
Mother since 2011.
A qualified nurse since May 2010.
NNEB diploma in childcare, 1997.
