About Me
I began childminding in 1990. I am a mother of 2 and also a grandma. I live in linton with my husband, a short walk from the local school.
I offer a friendly service in a welcoming, comfortable and stimulating environment.
I am a member of the Derbyshire Childminder Quality Scheme, and am therefore listed in the Derbyshire County Council Directory of High Quality Childminders, and am eligible to offer the free early education entitlement to two, three and four year olds.
My aim is that the children are busy, happy and well cared for giving peace of mind to busy parents.
I have annual membership/passes to jungle madness and conkers and National trust, which we make good use of.
My Experience
I have over 30 years experience as a childminder, caring for babies and children of all ages.
As well as a wide range of activities on offer within the setting I also take the children on outings to toddler sessions, softplay, forestry and to parks and playgrounds both local and also further afield during school holidays.
From Feb 2014 I expanded the setting by taking on an assistant, my daughter, Heather. Enabling us to offer a few more places to meet demand.
Heather has completed all required training and checks and became fully Ofsted registered July 2015. We now work together as co-minders.
My Qualifications
I am Ofsted registered and achieved an overall grading of GOOD in my last inspection.
I have an NVQ level 3 in Early Years Care and Education.
I hold a current certificate in pediatric first aid.
I access training courses in all relevant areas to keep up to date with childcare trends, issues and expectations.
My Availability
The setting is open between 7am and 6pm monday to Thurs and 7am to 5pm friday.
We are able to drop off and collect from Linton school and nursery and Albert Village school.

We offer the full range of government funding
We have very limited availability at the moment, for school age children.
We can also provide school holiday cover.

We have been with Bev's childminding now for the last few years and we are always surprised at how welcoming Bev and Heather are and how encouraging / nurturing they seem to be. Bev does an amazing job and is really accommodating, which is great for working parents. Our daughter always seems to be so happy there and doesn't want to leave when we pick her up. They go out most days and do lots of activities, which is great. Our little one was quite shy in the beginning when she started but now find her to be very interactive. I think this is due to lots of outdoor activities. I couldn't imagine her being better anywhere else.
