About Me
Hello I'm Lisa and I have been graded Good from OFSTED for the 2nd time. I have a diploma in Nursery Nursing with 18 years of nursery experience with ages 0 to 11 years and been a Childminder for 11 years. I have a current dbs cleared check along with my husband and eldest son and daughter, I am insured and have a seven seater car with a clean licence. I live just of Chorley New Road close to the Middlebrook and the M61 motorway link.I live with my husband and three children aged 21, 17 and 12. I am also an auntie and godparent so I have lots of experience with all ages of children. I have large indoor spaces which lead out on to a patio area and large garden which is all safe and secure and full of toys and equipment. I offer lots of other activities such as baking, crafts, gardening, walks to the park and library, all to develop your child's learning.
My Experience
I have been a childminder for 11 years, I have worked in 2 nurseries over 18 years, 1 for 14 years. I have worked in all the rooms as room leader and senior officer with all ages of children from 6 weeks to 11 years. I have an in depth knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and am able to plan activities in all seven areas of learning to cover all the ages of children through play to meet and develop your child's learning and needs. I have helped both child and parents settle in and formed bonds with both, its very important to have lots of parent interaction so I can get to know the children quicker as to what they can do and likes and dislikes also to be consistent with home and routines, I have helped the children to develop their skills from encouraging their listening and attention skills through music ,songs and actions, playing peep games, listening to stories and taking turns, develop their understanding with simple to more complex instructions ,and encouraging the children to talk and express themselves, and be imaginative. To develop physically both fine and gross motor skills through creative activities, playing outside and exploring, building, teaching them to feed themselves. To develop their own confidence and awareness, to have bonds with the children encourage interaction with other children, help with their reading, writing and numbers, getting ready for school.

Our son has been going to Lisa for approximately 3 years and we honestly couldn't have asked for a better setting for him.
Lisa has treated him as part of her family, providing a home from home environment whilst providing lots of fun and educational activities. They do lots of arts and crafts, baking, outdoor play, walks through forests, attend a childminder playgroup session once a week and lots of healthy home cooked meals that my son loves.
Our son will be starting school in September and I know he will really miss going to Lisa's. We highly recommend Lisa to other parents looking for a safe but fun environment for their little ones x
