Lovely Lizy

Lizy was a breath of fresh air at a time when I wasn’t sure I would find what I was looking for in a childcare setting.
After our first interactions I knew that Lizy holds the children in her care and their families at the heart of her business. You can expect someone who is thoughtful, professional and who will prioritise getting to know your child as an individual.
Now a year on, my son feels entirely happy and comfortable in Lizy’s home. Both of Lizy’s daughters are wonderful with the children in Lizy’s care and my son is very fond of the whole family.
Lizy has always demonstrated a strong understanding that no child (or family for that matter) are the same. This has meant that Lizy always communicates professionally and sensitively. We will often discuss my sons progress and development and I feel that Lizy is not only there to support my child, but also to support me as I will often ask for her advice and trust her judgement.
When we first met, Lizy shared with me that she has a genuine interest in child psychology and this is evident in her solid understanding of child development and she will often share updates of my son’s development and information about how she is/will support him, which I love as it helps to know how I can support his growth too. To help with development and learning opportunities, Lizy provides a wide variety of toys and has a lovely garden area which the children make great use of.
Further to above, Lizy uses the Famly app to communicate developmental steps as well as the basic information in regards to meals and naps etc, so I feel fully informed of my child’s days even when I can’t be with him.
Something that has always been important to me is that my child has a good variety of food and Lizy regularly provides healthy, home cooked meals and has given my son opportunities to try different foods. Between the meals and snacks, I know my son is offered a wide variety of food.
One of the best things about Lizy is that she conquers that difficult task of being both professional and personable. She is so organised and efficient that we all know what is going on and when and this is important when I am so busy with work myself, but she is also kind and thoughtful which has also meant that she has been understanding with personal circumstances not always going to plan.
Considering we have used other childcare settings, I couldn’t be happier with the care that my child receives in Lizy’s setting, but most importantly, my son is safe, secure and incredibly happy there.

Like a second home

My son has been with Lizy since April 2016 when he was just over a year old, he was born prematurely at 29 weeks and has chronic lung disease as a consequence of this. Going back to work was a hard decision but the right one and we certainly picked the right childminder for our sons needs and ours.

Lizy is highly professional and flexible when needed and asked, we chose Lizy as she could fit in with my partners shift work and there were no set days that we had to pick. Lizy has kept Logan on more than one occasion over time due to me being stuck in a meeting and has given him diner for me. I was taken unexpectedly, seriously unwell and Lizy offered to have Logan on unplanned days to enable my partner to visit me in hospital and also allow me time to recover.

For Logan going to Lizy twice a week is like home from home, he has the choice of an abundance of play and educational toys, games and puzzles.

Logan gets taken out for pre-planned days of fun but Lizy is always sure to include the educational side making it fun, interesting and interactive.

I love seeing what Logan has done on a daily basis when he gets home in his journal that she fills out and now by using the Famly App i can look on my phone at work and see what he is doing and what fun he is having, i can also see what he has eaten and if he has had a nap.

We are so happy with Logan's progress in all areas of his development with Lizy that we have decided to keep him with her instead of sending him to pre-school.

I would and have recommended Lizy to other people who are looking for a childminder that want their child to have a safe comfortable environment that they can learn and grow in and feels like home when they are in her care.

Home from home love and care

It was a tough decision to go back to work knowing our little boy who was 7 months at the time would be looked after by someone , however from the first meeting with Liz i was instantly put at ease! From the first step inside her warm and inviting home and her kind nature towards children we knew it was the right place for our little man to learn, grow and have lots of fun.

Her home is full of toys and games and fun things to do, Alfred loves going, even waving me bye once ive stepped in the door.  She has two lovely daughters who are brilliant and great fun to be around.

Alfred's speach and development has come on leaps and bounds since starting there. He is such a confident and intelligent  little boy and i have so much to thank of that too liz.

Its wonderful knowing he's in great hands when leaving on a morning. I am fully trusting on all judgements she makes, knowing my little boy is always safe in her care. As a first time mum she has also been a huge help to me also.

I would definately recommend Liz very highly, and appreciate all her help and flexibility she has offered. 

Alfred is only leaving her care due to moving home and we will miss her and the girls deeply.
