About Me
AVAILABILITY FROM SEPTEMBER 2020 . (possible availability before this date upon discussion. Please message/text for further details and follow-up)
My name is Kim and I am an OFSTED rated OUTSTANDING child MINDER! An achievement I am very proud of.
I live in Kidderminster with my husband Ashley and our two children. I am a Registered Childminder and qualified Teacher. I completed my Education Degree at Newman College in 2007 where I trained in Primary Education. After university, I worked in a Special Needs School to gain experience before securing a full time position as Student Support in a main stream High School. In 2010 I went on to manage in a Private Education company for children and young people who have disengaged from education as well as teaching the projects GCSE English and Mathematics courses.
In 2012, we moved to our new home on Wilden following the arrival of our daughter. After having our son two years later, I realised I was missing my childcare career opportunity, so I decided to take up childminding for myself.
My aim is to provide a warm, caring, friendly ‘home from home’ for all children to grow and develop safely, and for them to feel valued and respected. I aim to work with you, the parents and carers, to provide the best possible care for your child. To do this I offer a fully inclusive range of activities in a variety of environments and I work with parents to help me to develop my service.
I believe that every child should have the opportunity to learn and grow through safe, encouraging and exciting experiences and I will draw upon all my experiences to support every family member in raising a strong and independent, fun loving child prepared for the adventure of life!
I have fantastic parent feedback and reviews as well as examples of the children's activities and work for you to see on your visit.
My Experience
I have experience from new born up to post-16.
Working in a special needs unit has helped me develop behaviour management strategies as well as new and initiative ways of teaching through fun and play.
I have worked closely with other childminders and I am working with the local childminding groups to build on my personal development.
My Qualifications
I have teaching qualifications for primary and secondary education.
I have completed all the OFSTED childminding qualifications.
First Aid Training
Safeguarding up to Level 3
British Sign Language Diploma Degree
Currently studying a Play Diploma
Ongoing weekly training. All certificates are available upon visit
