About Me
My name is Amanda and for 3-years I was an Ofsted registered childminder based in Paignton. Following a move to Torquay I am now looking to fill spaces from January 2024. As well as day-time care I offer a breakfast club service and drop off for Illsham Academy. My husband, and assistant, is a former Primary School sports teacher and father to our two boys, currently 9 and 11years old so we have plenty of child-care experience between us. We all live in Torquay close to the town centre and are able to offer care in a safe and spacious home environment. We have plenty of room both indoors and out as well as a large separate indoor area dedicated to indoor play and activities. We have parking for several cars and gated access to the property. We enjoy daily trips out including playgroups, parks and woodland areas, beach, zoo, farmparks and soft-play areas.
My Experience
Qualifications as above. I am mother to two young boys and, before registering as a childminder, have over the past several years ran before and after-school clubs both from home and at alternative venues. I have also enjoyed working with children in schools and on holiday courses alongside my husband.

As above plus continued CPD inline with training offered by childcare.co.uk membership and local Council support.
My Availability

My child had a wonderful time with Amanda at the start of this year. Each day was varied with plenty of activities. They went to the park, the beach, played the drums, did art and crafts, and much more. My child was very enthusiastic to get out the car each morning and Amanda shared daily updates with me. Amanda is genuine trustworthy person and I highly recommend her excellent childcare.
In addition the setting is excellent and there is a large games room perfect for running around and having fun.
