My Summary
About Me
I am a mum to 3 girls Imogen (Sept '13), Polly (May '19) and Harper (June ‘23) they are my absolute world. I live with my partner of over 10 years and we finally tied the knot on Valentines Day 2016. I'd like to consider myself as lively, approachable, energetic and above all trustworthy.
My Experience
I have previously worked in a primary school working with a little girl who was on the autistic spectrum as well as being a classroom assistant in other year groups and it was the best job in the world. I also used to be a nanny 2 boys who were sports crazy aged 7 & 9. This family are now considered as my own as we're still in very close contact. Whilst on maternity leave I looked after my (then) 3 year old niece and 2 year old non verbal autistic nephew on a Monday and Tuesday until I went back to work as my sister is now his full time carer. I come from a large and lively family so life has always been 'all hands on deck'. I have always felt that I have a great rapport with children and my main goal in life is to be a counsellor for children.
I worked as a temp nanny for 3 days a week with 2 boys aged 6 and 2 and it was an absolute pleasure. My duties were to get both boys dressed and ready for school, breakfast, take the oldest to school then take the youngest to soft play/rhyme time/ or any other activities that would have him interacting with other children. We also went for walks round Virginia water lake and take a picnic and thoroughly enjoy being outdoors. After school I'd pick him up take both children home and cook dinner, organise homework and have them ready for bed for when dad would get home.
Between this temp job ending and my new job beginning, I did a lot of temp work and babysitting with children ranging from newborn-10.
My most recent charges were 6 and 8 and I was their before and after school nanny. My daughter was with me at all times and they loved her like their own little sister and had a beautiful relationship. (Sept14-Sept15)
My duties would involve school drop offs and pick ups from different schools, arrange play dates, meals, homework and any after school activities such as gymnastics, football etc. In the half terms we would go out on days out which ranged from a walk in the park to a day trip to London. I loved this family dearly however I have now finished my contract with them and am now in a role outside of childcare.
I would still very much like to play a part in the childcare field and am only a message or phone call away if anyone needs any babysitting or cover for half term. Ill always try and help where I can.
My Qualifications
I am a fully qualified Paediatric First Aider.
Dance is a huge passion of mine and I'm now a qualified ISTD Tap and Modern teacher.
Aside from all that, I have no childcare qualifications on paper. Just plenty of life experience.
Although I’m not ‘trained’ to use an epi-pen on paper, I was diagnosed in 2018 with a nut allergy and had an anaphylaxis in 2022 and had to use my own for the first time so I always carry one with me and know how to use them should your child have any allergies.
My Availability
Due to my girls dance commitments I am no longer available after school or during half terms. I am available during the school hours during term time and evening babysitting over the weekends.

I completely agree with all of the other reviews here. Lucy came to my rescue after another babysitter had to cancel last minute, she immediately put me at ease (which isn't easy as I am autistic). I haven't seen my kids with someone as good, they were actually really upset when the sit came to an end, and her daughter is an absolute credit to her. We will defiantly book with Lucy again if she will have us, I just hope this honest review doesn't mean that she gets snatched up by someone else first!
Right from the start Lucy put me at ease by visiting me prior to babysitting my children to get to know me and more importantly, them. Lucy is friendly and a really lovely person and I would have not hesitation in using her as often as I need without concern and also in recommending her to look after anyone else's children. You'd be silly to use anyone else if she is available (as long as I get preference haha)!
Lucy looked after our little girl while we had a much needed day out by ourselves. She's friendly, very easy to get on with, was very flexible about when we returned and most importantly, our little girl was really happy and comfortable with her. I'd definitely recommend her to others.
I completely agree with the reviewer above. Lucy has done some adhoc nanny/babysitting for us in Windsor. We have 18 month old twins and a 4 1/2 year old.
As soon as I met Lucy, I felt completely at ease with her as she has that rarest of gifts- common sense!
I really like her approach, and her down to earth honestly. My kids adored her and she easily fitted in to our environment.
One a couple of occasions, we had some particularly complex arrangements as we had builders, tilers, painters in the house and there were a few pick ups required that would have phased some people! Lucy was able to easily organise all my kids, do the pick ups, and also somehow managed to bath and play with them!
I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Lucy and I only wish I had more work for her!
Lucy is one of those rare people: open, honest, up-front and direct.
Right from the outset she was very open about her qualifications and experience, what she has to offer and who she is.
We had no hesitation in having her look after our sons after speaking to her a couple of times. She spent a couple of hours with us beforehand to meet them and to find out about their routine, how we like things to be done, etc.
We have two sons, one six years old, the other two. They can be quite a handful at times, but Lucy had them listening to her and being well behaved right from the outset, simply by setting the boundaries and being firm, but fair.
We needed someone temporarily while we looked for a new au pair, but even in that short time Lucy justified our trust in her. If it weren't for the fact that it suits us better to have someone who lives in, I am sure that we would have kept Lucy with us for months, if not years.
I recommend her very highly.
