My Summary
About Me
My name is Linda Butler. I live in Bideford with my husband Paul and daughter Carly. I have a son Mark and daughter Laura who have now left home. I have a separate well equipped playroom and provide many different activities for your child such as arts and crafts, play dough, cooking etc. I have a large secure garden and a purpose built area where we grow plants and search for mini beasts. The whole garden is well equipped with ride on toys, a sand pit, slide etc. We enjoy picnics in the garden on sunny days. I attend different groups during term time to help your child socialise. During the holidays I visit lots of places of interest such as the park, woods, RHS Rosemoor and garden center's, all of which are risk assessed beforehand.
My Experience
I have been childminding since 1995 . I have close links with Appledore nursery & Abbotsham pre-school. Lots of children have attended my setting and I have lovely thank you cards from the families which are in my portfolio for you to see. I provide parents of young children with a daily diary detailing your child's day which is linked to the EYFS framework.
My Qualifications
I have a wealth of experience in childcare and hold the following qualifications related to my career; Diploma in playgroup practice, NVQ level 2 in play work, food hygiene, first aid, safeguarding, AXS01 training. I have trained in my different areas of child development such as language and communication, everyone can play, sign language, music and movement and also additional needs. EYFS principles and may more. My training is ongoing, all certificates are on display in my portfolio to view on visit. I am registered with Ofsted and hold a level of OUTSTANDING FOR THE LAST FOUR INSPECTIONS.
My Availability
My childminding services opening hours are :
MONDAY - THURSDAY 8.00 - 5.30.
I am open both term time and holidays but do take up to 6 weeks holiday a year which are advised at the beginning of the year so alternative arrangements can be made. I care for children from the age of 3 months up to 11 years.

Hi. My two year old son has been in Linda's care since he was six weeks old. Linda has a lovely home, always clean and tidy and she arranges lots of different activities to keep the children stimulated and to help them learn about the world around them. I would recommend Linda to anyone looking for a friendly and caring childminder to leave their child with.
