My Experience

Most of my experience has been gained with toddlers, 18 months to 6 years old. Also experienced with newborns and teenagers. Child-minding experience gained from 2008- present. Skills and responsibilities have varied for each child/family. The timeline of this is below.

Key skills include: cooking meals, bathing, and playing games, reading stories, nappy changing and potty training, completing games and helping with homework. These demonstrate that I am diverse, attentive and dedicated to keeping children safe and entertained.

- Morning nanny and regular evening work for the Smith family, London:
Arrived at Smith house at 6 am daily as parents left by 7am each day. This role involved bathing, cooking, preparing lunches and dressing the family’s three children including G6 and twin boys B12. Before walking the 6 year old to school, I would engage in a range of stimulating activities each morning including dancing, drawing and reading stories with the 6 year old. I would also provide regular evening work for the family looking after up to 6 children at one time when the children had their friends over.

-Babysitter and child-minder for the Sprout Family in Brighton:
Regular child carer for two energetic youngsters, a boy and a girl who were 11 and 7 for busy parents who work full time. Duties included, school runs and preparing meals for the children as well as participating in activities such as painting, board games and homework. Both day and night shifts on a regular basis and will sometimes hold the sole charge of up to 4 children as the kids have their friends over often.

-Nursery Assistant- Tinies childcare Brighton and Hove:
I have worked as an assistant at various day-care centres across Brighton and Hove for children of ages 0 to 7. This includes; Growing up green, Fiveways and Little Angels Day-care. Here I led creative and fun activities for the children to get involved in as well as being responsible and alert at all times to ensure safety. I also helped plan daily activities including singalongs, exploring nature, and tending to the spirits of shyer children. I tried to make sure that each child was entertained and happy and that parents were comfortable leaving their children. Energy and enthusiasm was required for this high-paced environment as well as versatility to deal with a range of different children at one time

My Qualifications

I hold a current up-to-date dbs, I have an Economics and Development degree and a strong interest in permaculture, nature, childhood development and peace.

Completely flexible. Dependent on location and week-by-week availability.

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
