I offer a home from home, stimulating and friendly environment. I promote a family atmosphere with the emphasis on learning through play. I work to the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and encourage the children's learning and development by observing their individual likes and interests. Each day is planned to include structured activities such as drawing, painting, cooking and maths games. I also offer opportunities for physical outdoor play, visits to nearby parks and trips to the library. There are also opportunities for free play. I charge £4 an hour and work Monday Tuesday and Wednesdays with flexible drop off and collection times.

I childmind in the large family room at the back of my house which leads straight out into our enclosed back garden. The children receive individual attention as well as opportunities to interact with other children of all ages in the setting. A daily diary is provided for each child to include information on what they have done during the day as well as a learning journal to track their progress in the EYFS. Each month I email parents photographs of the activities we have done. There is a photo album of activities we have taken part in and this is available for new children to take home before they fully join the setting so all our faces can become familiar to them and make settling in easier. I live with my husband and two children. They are very much a part of the setting and have a lovely relationship with the children.
