About Me
We are a registered childminding setting being run by a husband and wife team, we currently have availability for immediate starts for both over and under 5’s. Please feel free to contact us directly for more information on our services and future availability.
We offer care from our home in Gee Cross, Hyde where we live with our three sons and daughter. We also have a dog, cat and two guinea pigs that have regular contact with the children.
We use the full downstairs of our home including two rear yards, one of which is under cover for year round outdoor fun. We have a wide range of toys and resources available for a wide range of ages.
We love being hands on with a variety of activities, ranging from arts and crafts to gardening and feel it is vital for children to be constantly challenged and stimulated to encourage their development.
We provide children with a varied and interesting choice of activities, including (but not limited to) trips to the park, museums and monuments, arts and crafts, musical instruments, baking, gardening and discovering cultures.
We were last inspected in January 2019 by Ofsted and were graded good.
My Experience
JKL has been up and running since 2013 and during this time we have cared for a number of children from birth to 14 years. We have lots of personal experience of dealing with little ones, including our own sons, daughter, nephews and various friends and family members children.
We both hold full clear enhanced DBS checks (previously CRB checks), paediatric first aid qualifications and have completed a safeguarding course. We are more than happy to show evidence of these should you require it.
Jamie studied Mathematics at university and Karl also studied Sports Coaching and Development at university. Karl has also completed a course in Applied Sciences.
My Qualifications
Jamie is the registered childminder within the provision and has completed all of the relevant qualifications required by TMBC as well as holding additional qualifications also.
Karl is a qualified sports coach. Most recently coaching for Hattersley FC.
My Availability
We currently have availability for both full and part time children from 0 to 14 years.
We offer funded spaces for 2, 3 and 4 year olds. Including the new working parent funding for 2 year olds from April 2024 and will continue to offer funding for 9 months+ when it comes into effect as of September 2024.
We currently serve Endeavour Academy, Hyde (previously Leigh Primary) for both drop off and collection, including after school clubs.
We offer a variety of care options including full time and part time spaces, before and after school sessions, wrap around care (around nursery). We are also able to be flexible for agency/shift workers and adhoc care.

I send my son George to JKL childminding and Jamie is fantastic with him. He is always really happy and in a good mood when I pick him up and is always really well looked after.
