About Me

I am an Ofsted registered childminder (graded outstanding). I have over 20 years of experience working with children. Previously, I was a primary school teacher, but since becoming a mum my focus shifted to the development and education of babies and toddlers - and so I decided to work with this age group as a childminder.

In my 15 years as a teacher, I had lessons graded outstanding in three separate Ofsted inspections. This, along with my outstanding childminding inspection, is a reflection of my absolute commitment to education and my drive to deliver it in a lively, age-appropriate way.

I have great fun with my mindees - we do lots of messy fun activities, play with sand and water, dig in the garden whilst looking for mini beasts, splash in puddles and sing lots of songs! We also visit parks, playgroups and the library. I aim to pass on my love of nature to all children, so we spend a lot of our time in the woods.

Sharing stories with babies and children is a passion of mine – I have hundreds of books! My background as a literacy co-ordinator in an outstanding school allowed me access to excellent training on all aspects of literacy development. This, combined with my language acquisition studies at university, means that language and literacy are real strengths in my provision.

I only take on a small number of children at any one time – I never take on the maximum number of children that I am allowed. As a result, I can spend quality time with each child and provide the highest level of care.

My fees include home cooked meals and healthy snacks – so you don’t have to spend your precious time preparing meals for your little one.
