My Summary
About Me
First things first I made this profile about 8 years ago but never used it as a few days later I got a job in a nursery and have only come back on the app on 09/02/2023.
I have been working Within the childcare sector for almost 12 years within these years I have gained a numerous amount of experiences and challenges. Such as multitasking within the room by completing online observations and ensuring that the is the room is safe for the children to be in.
I’ve also gained experience dealing with complaints and parents who are not happy with certain situations, Such as Children’s behaviour that are biting scratching screaming and also tantrums.
I have to also ensure that the activities to sit out throughout the day are age-appropriate and safe for the children for example paint glue and glitter.
I have also worked with children who have individual needs or maybe on the spectrum.
When I first started working in nurseries I was only a nursery nurse practitioner over the years I gained a lot of experience which lead me to Being a room leader.
In between these years I have worked with parents who have met through the nursery by doing babysitting on weekends and after my shift.
The more I did babysitting on a one-to-one basis this made me believe that being a nanny is the right job for me, as I get to spend more time with the child and meet their individual needs.
In the recent job where I was nannying the little boy had a heart defect which led him to be in great Ormond Street few months after he was born. When he was ready to be released from great Ormond Street after a week or so the mother offered me the full-time job of being his nanny. Being his nanny I gained experience for dealing with medications and also dealing with the tube that was inserted in his nose, by the tubing inserted in his nose I had to feed him his milk through a syringe into the tube also his medication was given through the tube.
