About Me
I am a married, 45 year old lady with a vast & varied level of experience of working with children on & off since I was 16 years old. I love children, am passionate about working with them; giving them every possible opportunity to flourish, develop & grow as individuals.
I have 12 years of experience of working with children who have a wide range of SEN.
I have a 9 year old daughter & a crazy but loveable Cocker Spaniel!
My Experience
I began a 4 year role as a part-time Nursery Assistant when I was 16 years old. I have 2 & a half years experience of working as a part-time Childminder; one role was with a 4/5 year old boy who had Aspergers Syndrome & ADHD & one of the others was as a live-in Nanny caring for twin 3 year old boys. I have also provided childcare for a lovely family who had 3 children aged 20 months, 3 & 7 years old.
I have worked as a Teaching Assistant & an Individual Needs Assistant for 7 years; supporting children with a wide range of SEN, predominantly in secondary schools but also some primary experience (particularly most recently) & of working in a special school. During this time I have mentored students, helped with Breakfast Club, run a Circle of Friends & provided pastoral care for students. This ran alongside my main duties of supporting individuals, groups & whole classes in lessons, as well as some 1:1 withdrawal/intervention work & small group work.
I also have 3 years experience of working with children in care homes.
My Qualifications
I am a fully qualified Teaching Assistant with an NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools. I have completed the Learning Mentor Induction programme. I've also completed many Child Protection/Safeguarding courses over the years, the last one was in 20I4. I have undertaken many first aid courses, having completed a paediatric first aid training course in 2014.
My Availability
I am currently available for childcare & babysitting roles. However, it would need to fit around my family commitments.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
- Nannying from £10.00 per hour (net)
I charge between £10 and £12 per hour dependent on the number of children that I would be caring for.
