Wendy has been a nanny for our two children for over 5 years. They were aged 20 months and 3.5 years when she started, and are now 6 and 9. She was wonderful with the kids when they were small, dealing with potty training, naps, toddler food and baby groups. She has also been fantastic with older kids, doing fun activities like art and crafts, Lego, day trips in the holidays and hosting play dates. She also tackles homework. She is very caring and kind, but also has a knack with the kids so that they listen to her. Wendy is extremely reliable- she hasn’t let us down once in the five years she has been with us and her help and support has been a huge help to our family. Wendy is sadly leaving us to move closer to family and now that our kids are in full time education. She is a fantastic nanny and a wonderful person, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her. We will miss her very much as will our kids.

Wendy has been working for me for one day a week since September 2015. At the time Wendy started working for me my daughter (Gemma) was 2 years 10 months old and the twin boys (James and Matthew) just 17 months. The hours we agreed were 8.30am-5.30pm (9 hours).
Gemma was starting at a local Montessori pre-school at the same time from 9am–4pm so for the majority of the day Wendy had sole charge of the two boys, however would also look after Gemma first thing and from 4pm.
Typical responsibilities include:
• Getting all three children dressed and giving them their breakfasts
• Taking Gemma to / from school
• Taking James & Matthew to a local church playgroup each morning in term-time or other outing during school holidays
• Changing nappies
• Preparing lunch for the boys and evening meal for Gemma
• After school trip to local park / coffee shop depending on the weather
• Occasional babysitting (involving bedtime story for my daughter)
The most important thing to me that is evident when I see Wendy with my children is that they all like her. When you have to leave your children with someone else in order to return to work them being happy is of primary importance. I tried my daughter in a nursery for several months but she was always picking up one illness after another and was never really happy to be dropped off there. However being at home and having a nanny come to us has removed that worry completely.
In addition I have been impressed with Wendy’s flexibility (she has swapped days with my other nanny where needed and changed her hours to cover other commitments), reliability (she has not had one day off sick in the time she has been working for me) and interest in the children. She enjoys playing with them but in addition has focused on their reading and playing games that teach them colours etc.
Wendy is also very good at cleaning up after meals and ensuring the house and playroom are left tidy at the end of the day.
In summary, Wendy possesses all of the qualities that make a nanny successful. She is very reliable, trustworthy, motivated and great with children and I would highly recommend her for a nanny position.

Wendy has worked as a nanny for our two children since September 2012. At the beginning our son had just turned one and our daughter was 4 and starting school in reception. Wendy has therefore seen our children through the early stages for my son of feeding and potty training as well as schooling for my daughter. Wendy has been active in taking our son to groups to ensure he interacts with other children, as well as taking our daughter to after school clubs. At home, Wendy is excellent at encouraging them with their reading and writing. Wendy is very artistic and has always helped them with drawing and painting. During school holidays, Wendy will take the children out on excursions to farms, museums and cinemas to name a few.
Wendy has helped us with chores related to the children such as ironing, changing bed sheets, tidying up and cooking meals.
Over the past two and a half years Wendy has always been extremely reliable. Examples of this include her punctuality and the fact that she has not had any sick days in all our time with her. She has also been flexible in staying later on the odd occasion and helping us with babysitting.
We have really valued her integrity and work ethic. She is professional and maintains discipline well. She has developed an excellent relationship with our children who both like and respect her. She will be sorely missed.
