My Experience

Hi, my name is Zara. I live in East London and have a little boy (Reggie) who is 20 months old. I am looking to come back to work with him so I am looking for a family who can love us and welcome us both with open arms. :)

Before going on maternity leave I was working on a temp basis with a family of 3, a boy age 7 and twins aged 4. My duties were to pick the twins up from nursery, feed them a healthy lunch, organise actives in the afternoon and then collect the older brother from school/after school activities, come home and then sort out dinner.

Previous to this I worked for 2 different families. For 2 years, One family was 3 days a week with 2 boys who were 2 and 4. I carried out all nanny duties and a bit of light house work. The other family was 2 days a week working with a boy who was 18months when I started and 3 when I left. I am still very much a member of this family. We see each often.

Before working with the boys I worked with 2 girls and their family for 2 and a half years. The reason for me leaving was the girls were due to start (big) school in September and they no longer needed a full time nanny. My role was all encompassing as both parents are city professionals, my duties included taking the girls to and from school, organising play dates and group activities, making healthy and balanced meals, general organisation of homework and reading. I did all the families washing and ironing and the cleaning of the house. I was in charge of running the household while the parents were at work, they would generally return to a clean, tidy and well organised house with the girls having been fed and bathed and ready for bed.

I am an active nanny and loved taking the girls on adventures during the holidays. I am very flexible and babysitting or staying late at short notice isn't a problem. I was and will remain a true member of this family. I had the privilege of having the girls as my flower girls last year when I got married.

Previous to this I worked with disabled children at an amazing school, residential care home and rehab centre called The Children's Trust in Tadworth. I worked here for 6 years and learnt a great deal of new and different skills, it was what made me want to look after children!
