About Me
I am available for childcare in both Halifax and also around Leeds 15.
I am honest, reliable, punctual, enthusiastic and hardworking and energetic. I have a friendly, caring nature and a good sense of humour.
I love working with children and have always had good relationships with the parents/carers of children that I have looked after and am still in touch with many of the families and they are happy to provide references. (as is my current employer)
Working with children keeps me young and active, I enjoy swimming, cycling, walking, outdoor activities, craft activities etc and having fun and exploring.
I love my role as as a nanny and consider myself very lucky to have a job that I enjoy so much - I am committed to making a positive difference to the lives of the children that I care for.
My Experience
I have 2 grown up children of my own and 2 grandchildren who I love looking after 2 days a week. I have a wealth of experience and confidence looking after and nurturing other peoples children.
I was an Ofsted registered childminder for 14 years, a foster carer for 6 years until December 2013 and was until recently a p/t nanny for a lovely family in Lodgemoor, Sheffield.
I have done many courses including Paediatric First Aid, Under 5's Health and Development, Child development, Safeguarding children, Early Years Education, Equality and Diversity, Bullying, Food Hygiene and many more connected to my time as a Foster carer.
I have a clean driving license and my own regularly serviced reliable car.

Elaine worked with us for almost a year on a part time basis looking after our 5 and 2 year olds. Having never employed a nanny before I was a bit anxious, but Elaine settled in so quickly and built a very close relationship with our children very quickly, that I need never have worried. She is very reliable and uses her creativity in occupying and entertaining the children. She has done a wide range of activities with them including art and crafts, taking them to the local toddler group or play gym (through which our youngest has made lots of new friends) or taking them on a day out in the school holidays. She would also help with homework.
I would not hesitate to recommend Elaine - the house is always very clean and tidy when returning from work and above all the children are really really happy in her company. It is only through a change in working arrangements that we no longer need Elaine every week. We hope to carry on using her in the school holidays.

Elaine has worked with our family for the last year. She has formed really strong bonds with our 2 year old daughter and our 6 year old son. She is reliable and trustworthy and provides a safe, secure and productive environment. She has actively sort out groups and activities for our daughter and has taken our son for exciting days out on training days from school. Our children love spending time with her. Change in our family circumstances mean that she is available for another lucky family. If you want someone reliable, honest, with bags of experience and a real enjoyment in the company of children, then look no further... we would recommend Elaine without any reservation.
