About Me

Hi, my name is Jen.
I was born in South Africa and I have been living in London for the past 19 years.
My parents were born in Mauritius and I went to a German school so I have the basic speech and understanding of French and German. My first and main language is English.

I have been working with children from newborn to 10+ years of age for over 15 years.
I have worked in nursery schools, I have been a live in Au-Pair in America, been a kids camp counsellor, worked in nanny shares and I have also just been a ''regular nanny.''

I am a punctual, honest, trustworthy, tidy, caring and understanding nanny.
I am very enthusiastic and outgoing and like to keep busy.
I interact very well with children of all ages and really enjoy being around them. I can be a kid with them and have fun while making sure they are having fun too.

I am very sporty and love the outdoors. I used to play rugby and cricket and really enjoy most sports. If I'm not playing them with the kiddies, I'm usually watching them.
I am a very good and confident swimmer. I love the water and used to bodyboard, wakeboard and waterski.

I also have an arty side to me too. I love anything to do with photography, taking photo's, putting them into albums, scrap booking, card making etc.
I enjoy to be inside too, watching movies or going to the cinema, indoor games and just the basics like Lego/Duplo etc. I have a great imagination with children and love to build/fix and play with all types of puzzles and toys (gadgets).
I am also very computer literate and very active with gadgets and electronic things.

I like to cook and bake. I am not a Masterchef, but I enjoy trying new things and experimenting with new ingredients. I like to get the children involved, especially with baking, letting them mix or stir or put the icing on etc. Letting the children get involved makes them more interested and keeps them interested for longer too.

I am a very fun person and always wanting to have fun, but can be firm too, whilst being very fair.

I find working with children a great challenge and very rewarding. Knowing that I have had a part in their upbringing makes me quite proud.
I have a great understanding of the fundamental milestones that children need.
