About Me
Hello, my name is Ellis. Im a 30 year old mum and am Level 3 NVQ qualified in childcare in which I gained at Havering college in Harold Hill, Essex. I am a mum to my nearly 5 year old daughter & my 2 year old son. My daughter will be starting year 1 in September 2025 and my son will most likely attend a nursery in the Colchester area as we are moving there from Romford in November 2025 so will be available for work from there onwards.
I have over 13 years childcare experience with children aged newborn - 11 years as well as management experience within a nursery school setting.
I have paediatric first aid training and can obtain a DBS check if required. I’m not ofsted registered but am happy to be at the employers cost.
I am a kind and caring individual as well as confident, calm and friendly.
I love working with children, it’s what I had always wanted to do growing up and at the moment I am a Teaching Assistant in my daughters school I would love to continue my services down a different path of becoming a nanny although this role would work better for me if carried out in my own home as I have a 2 year old at home/ nursery and will need to pick my daughter up daily from school, some would say more childminding services offered! I also can accommodate children I. My own home on terms of food, activities etc due to having my own children! I have done this previously and it worked brilliantly for both parties! As a parent you could come home to a nice tidy home knowing your child has been well cared for throughout the day :)
I always put the child first, make sure their best interest is at heart and all their needs are met whilst also making sure we’re having fun and learning at the same time.
I understand that each child is unique and becoming a mum myself I know the importance of finding the right person to care for the most precious thing in your world.
I do also have a double buggy should your child need one when in my care so I’d still be able to take yours and my child to places of fun :) And it would be a lovely sociable experience for both children :)
My Experience
I have worked in a number of day nurseries with children aged 0-5 years at the beginning of my career and then went onto a Nursery/Children’s Centre where I spent the last 5 years before leaving to have my daughter in 2020.
I started as a nursery assistant and before leaving my role was Lead Nursery Manager of a team of 11 staff with 2-3 year old children(30per session) So I worked hard to move up several positions in the 5 years of working there and am proud of my achievements :)
I also occasionally babysit 2 girls from a previous nursery I worked at. I started babysitting them when they were 8 months & 2 years.. they are now 9 and 10 and they are like my mini best friends & I’m very close with their family. The family would happily give a reference if needed :)
I also have a family that I found work with through this app that would happily give a reference if you would require one :)
I hold my own full UK driving license and own car.
I have experience working with children with SEN and ELA. This has given me the opportunity to learn further childcare skills and work with outside agencies as well as in partnership with parents to support each child’s individual needs. I also have in depth knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage which is a guideline used to track and support a young child’s development.
I am also trained in Read Write Inc. (Ruth Muskin) as this is how we teach phonics at my current workplace and am happy to offer this service through my nannying work.

We’ve had Ellis as our baby sitter for nearly 6 months and my daughter absolutely adores her.
Ellis’ communication skills are fantastic and always there when we need her. Without a doubt I would recommend Ellis to everybody.
