My Summary
About Me
Hello! I'm Sarah, I enjoy ballet, cooking, crafts, cake decorating, running (I have completed 3 marathons!) camping, skiing, being creative and photography. I regularly volunteer at parkrun and also sometimes as a vaccinator for St John’s ambulance. I am a native English speaker and am degree level educated.
I take a firm but fair approach to childcare and believe in learning through fun and inspiring imaginations! I love trips to museums, farms, swimming, days at the park, picnics, soft play, drawing, music, reading and singing. Cooking features quite highly too and it’s not uncommon for me to show up with a large kitchen gadget under my arm! We’ve made pasta, bread, hot cross buns, cheesecake, fudge, crackers, ice cream...
I'm interested in child behaviour and development and do vaious amounts of my own reading and research into it. I always encourage children to try many different foods, and try to 'think outside the box' when faced with any problems. I tackle behaviour issues head on and aim to help support the children to be the best that they can be and set them up with skills for life.
I'm happy to do household chores like supermarket shopping (I actually really enjoy it...!) Make cakes etc for weekend family celebrations, pick up parcels, washing, Doctors/dentist appointments etc.
I’m a highly confident and capable nanny, with school aged children I take a keen interest in their relationships and school lives showing that I can be another secure adult in their lives.
