About Us

Sunflower Daycare is a Ofsted registered nursery offering excellent standards of care for children from birth to 5 years of age.
We are based in Glasshoughton, Castleford our opening hours are Monday-Friday 7.30am- 18.00pm. We have full-time and part-time places available and accept Government funded hours.

We believe that every child has there own unique strengths and abilities and using the EYFS as our foundation, we celebrate every achievement no matter how small.
We feel it's important to have parent participation in our content and planning, in order that the children gain the most from our programme of work. Our day will consist of adult led planned activities, child led activities covering the seven areas of learning. We will participate in local groups and activities in our community.
In our planning and assessment we will ensure children are challenged and engaged to ensure they reach their full potential. At Sunflower Daycare our moto is Learn as you grow!! We have a family focused approach and welcome every child and their family as part of our family. All meals and snacks provider are healthy balanced diet to set them up for their learning. We accommodate any dietary requirements or allergies.
We have an amazing team of practitioners with a wealth of knowledge and experience .Each key person will get to know both you and your child in order to give the best possible care. To help support that transition into school. At Sunflower you will always receive honest feedback on your child's development so that we can work together to give them the best possible start in their journey of learning.

As the owner of the business and a mum of 3, I understand how hard it is to return to work. I have extremely high standards and ensure my team have the best possible training, to be able to meet each child's needs.
