My Summary
About Me
I'm Kat, an Ofsted registered Childminder with a 'Good' grading.
I have been Childminding since March 2009, and have completed the necessary training with the local authority to enable me to be registered.
You will have the opportunity to meet me. I am committed to my role of child carer and will ensure that all children in my care are looked after in a caring and individual way. I will work to promote a happy, caring environment where your child feels secure and confident. I will achieve this by giving your child access to a variety of materials, play activities and outings, where their experiences will encourage their development in an enjoyable and rewarding way. I will always value your child and all the children in my care and I will recognise their individuality, efforts and achievements, and encourage them to become confident autonomous learners. Daily activities which the children will participate in, will include playdough, painting, colouring, model making, cooking, trips to outdoor sites, including farms, parks and shopping, gardening, musical play, jigsaws and many others used to develop their learning.
Early years Foundation Stage
Since I started childminding I have been working within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), this sets the standards for learning, development and care for children from birth to five. The activities provided for the children are child orientated and focus on learning through play. The children play and learn in a variety of ways and I acknowledge that all children are individual learners.
My Experience
I have worked 'officially' as a childminder for 15 years but Previous to that, I grew up with my aunt whilst she was childminding so have always had an interest in Children, learning and Development.
I have 2 daughters and a son aged 14, 9 and 5. They are all very used to being around other Children and having to share their mummy....They love the company!
I have experience of working with children with English as a second language, different dietary requirements, and also children with physical disabilities.
My Qualifications
Diploma in home based Childcare
