My Summary
About Me
We are sisters Kelly and Anna working together in central Chichester. We are both Ofsted registered.
We offer a safe and secure home from home environment with plenty of space for children's activities and resources that will enhance their skills and aide development.
We have a good sized garden, located near to a large park area with playground. We are just a 10 minute walk from the centre of town so will provide regular trips to the parks, local shops and the library as well as outings to the beach, woods and to feed the ducks.
We implement the Early Years Foundation Stage through both adult and child led activities and monitor the children's progress through observations. We offer activities that are exciting, engaging and fun that are designed to further the children's individual development. Our adult to child ratio's and smaller, mixed age groups allow us to cater for the individual child's development and interests, an advantage over some nurseries. Another advantage of choosing a childminder means that the children can be taken on trips out based on their current interest such as visiting the garden centre to buy herbs so we can use our senses to explore the smell and taste before creating our own herb garden.
As there are two of us working together we can have up to 6 children aged 0-5. We use the mixed age groups to an advantage so that the younger children are learning from the older children and the older children are learning to be caring and responsible. The group is like a mini 'family'.
We offer the 2 and 3 year old free entitlement funding.
My Experience
Kelly
In 2010 I decided to make a career in childcare offering parents a service that enables their child to be in a home environment, experiencing activities that will aide their development, engage their interests and provide play spaces where children can choose their own activities.
I completed the relevant qualifications needed to become a childminder in August 2010. This included Paediatric First Aid, a Level 3 in Homebase Childcare and Safeguarding.
I understand that parents want to know that their child is being well cared for and is happy whilst in childcare. I aim to provide a stimulating, homebased environment that will enable children to learn through play, developing their skills with both child and adult led activities.
In May 2016 I had my first Ofsted inspection and received a 'Good' grade, a copy can be viewed on request.
Anna
I have over 15 years experience in childcare working in various positions, from practitioner to deputy, in pre-schools and nurseries. My most current position was Room Manager/ Early Years Teacher in a nursery providing exciting experiences and developing skills for 3-5 year olds as well as helping to ensure the Early Years Foundation Stage was being implemented throughout the nursery.
In 2012 I completed my Early Years degree and qualified as an Early Years Teacher. My knowledge and understanding of how children develop and the Early Years Foundation Stage will be an asset to this setting.
I have 3 children who are at secondary school and College and understand the pressures of finding suitable childcare for families.

To put into words how thankful we are for what kelly and Anna have done for our son and us as a family is not going to be easy. Firstly there amazing, there kind, fun, realistic and truly incredible childminders. They literally will pull out all the stops to help out if possible ( in short notice sometimes) if we needed extra time or an extra day. They just totally get the craziness of working parents and they dont ever let you feel guilty, if they even thought you was feeling a bit bogged down with the " mum guilt" they were always on hand to chat things through and after 4 years of them looking after our son I have never felt so reassured. They have supported us when our son was poorly and I felt relaxed enough knowing if he got poorly whilst in there care I knew he was safe and there tip top with their observations, they even let me know throughout the day how he was doing. No words or anything could ever explain what they have done for our son and how they have shaped him into a kind, caring, happy, sociable child. I just wish he wasnt going to big school and could stay for another 4 years!!! Home from home childminders with huge hearts and a house filled with fun and laughter!

Kelly and Pat have been my daughters pre school and after school childminders for the last 2 years and I have found them to be outstanding in every respect. My daughter who is now 6 was very well cared for, fed and entertained with many different and interesting activities, It is a happy and loving family home with a lovely outside play area. Pat and Kelly have oodles of patience and go that extra mile, I am very lucky in that they were very flexible and able to take my daughter to ballet and also gymnastics. I always felt that my daughter was safe and well cared for (part of the family almost), you could say that Pat is almost like a second Mum to my daughter and we willl miss both Kelly and Pat and I can thoroughly recommend them.
