I currently have limited availability (December 2025). I will have full availability during school hours Monday-Thursday 9am-3pm and Friday mornings 9am-12pm from January 2026.
I hold BSc (Hons) Degree and DipHE/RN qualifications in children's nursing, with over 20 years experience within hospital and community settings. I am also a qualified childminder, but not registered. I have a current full enhanced DBS certificate, which is registered to the automatic annual renewal service. I have two children of my own aged 13y and 20y old and am looking for work to fit around them, during school hours and/or occasional evenings/weekends. I've also worked as a cover/bank childcare professional in nurseries across Warwickshire with an agency and then by being directly employed by a nursery in Lutterworth. Most recently, I have provided nanny and babysitting services to families in Rugby and other parts of Warwickshire, working flexibly to meet their varied requirements.
My Experience
Over 28 years experience with children of all ages (birth-teen), including those with complex special needs, life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. I worked for an agency providing nanny cover and for staff in nurseries on sick/holiday leave, providing care & contributing to the education of under-5's. As I did with my own children, I am very keen to take children to groups, parks, educational activities, classes/swimming, anywhere parents/guardians would like them to visit/attend within the Rugby area. I can provide regular and/or ad hoc childcare in your child's own home, depending on your requirements.

Wow I don't know where to start. We are so so lucky to have come across Paula. My Daughter is autistic and non verbal with global development delay. Paula treats her as any other child. The positivity that radiates from Paula is amazing for my daughter and myself. Elsie has come on so so far, to the point she is Pre-verbal now. Paula always makes sure that Elsie is comfortable with whatever they do, Elsie is always so happy to see Paula. I feel she is like family. She's such a warm, positive, beautiful lady that I can't thank enough for all she does and has done. Elsie will be starting new hours next year but with out a doubt we will still see Paula in the school holidays etc. Thank you Paula ☺️

Aw Becky, this has really meant such a lot to me. It has been such a privilege and honour to be part of your lives and I am so lucky to have had the pleasure of helping Elsie to grow! I too feel that we are like family and I am looking forward to following her journey and seeing how much more she develops and flourishes as she continues on her path in nursery and beyond! Elsie is an incredible little girl, with an amazingly inspirational role model mummy. I will miss my time with her and seeing you all as often, but will definitely still be here for you all. Harley, my 10 month old really enjoys spending time with Paula and he's all smiles when she arrives.
She's great with finding places to take him to enjoy his day.
Paula is great at keeping us up to date throughout the day with how Harley is doing.
We can really rely on Paula which is great to have support with no family in the area

Harley is an adorable baby boy whom I absolutely love taking care of and having lots of fun and giggles with, he's a real pleasure to look after. I'm so pleased that I can help out, as I remember exactly what it's like to not have any family support in the area - I was in the same boat with my children when they were young, being from Newcastle myself.

Paula is an incredible childcare provider. She is exactly who you want to look after your child: prompt, professional, experienced, DBS checked, first aid trained, the works! Our toddler adores her and clearly feels very safe and loved when she is with her. I’d recommend her without hesitation!
