About Me
Hi my name is Rebecca (Bec).... I am 42 yrs old and live with my husband and our three children (Chloe born 2005, Ella born 2007 and James born 2012). We have two Labrador dogs Molly and Milo and two horses called Annie and Belle :)
I am an Ofsted registered Childminder and have been since nov 2009. The whole of my house is used for childminding and i also have a purpose built beautiful playroom. I have a large fully enclosed garden with a lovely playhouse, swings, ride on cars and lots more!
I offer care to children from 0-3 years old. When children reach the age of three, I encourage them to move on to the next stage of nurseries and preschools, where they can make firm friendships before starting school.
I have recently been graded 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, ( Apr 24) something which i am very proud of.
I offer a warm, loving, safe home environment where children can learn at their own pace.
I hold a full driving licence and live very close to Rolls Royce Derby.
My working days are Monday-Thursday from 7am - 4pm.
My Experience
I have worked in a number of Nurseries from the age of 16 and have gained a level three qualification in early years care and education.
I have had four OFSTED inspections and have been graded Outstanding on my latest one.
During the week i like to take regular outings to local parks, toddlergroups, childminder drop ins, soft plays, library, shops and messy play!!
At home there is a large range of baby and toddler toys, imaginary and role-play, dressing up clothes, toy kitchen, a range of dolls prams and pushchairs, wooden toys, play mobile, dolls house, animal clinic and farm with lot's of animals, cars and garage, construction toys, wooden blocks, jigsaws and board games.
Sand and water play.
Lots of creative things including junk modelling, sticking and painting etc
Cooking simple biscuits and cakes, pizza and preparing sandwiches
Outdoor toys, cars, paddling pool, tents, balls and tunnels, playhouse and swings.
My Qualifications
NVQ level 3 in Early Years Care And Education.
Paediatric first aid trained
Introduction to childcare practice
Attended courses on Observation and Assessment, and Safeguarding children

Bec has been such a support over the past 2 years. I could go to work knowing that my little one was going to be loved and very much entertained every single day.
They were always doing loads of activities and outings whilst also having a lovely routine.
She also helped me with my 7 year old in school holidays and he loved it just as much.
My.daughter is now starting school and Bec has helped her with all the skills she will need
I couldn't fault a thing! Thank you 🙂😊

My little boy started with Bec when he was 23 months old. He loved every minute with Bec, he was always full of stories and had so many adventures. Bec is always professional and has such a positive attitude, Bec always ensured were kept up to date with any information we needed to know. Bec was brilliant at catering for all needs with my son being such a fussy eater. The tapestry app was brilliant and it was so lovely to see what he had been upto at Becs house! We were so sad when we had to finish at Becs due to COVID and my little boy going into full time education.
Bec comes highly recommended and any parent would be lucky to have such a lovely caring person looking after their child.

My daughter has been going to Bec,s for over a year now and I am now sorry to not using her anymore as my daughter is starting Nursery,My daughter loves going to Becs's house and doesn't want to leave , she settled in straight away and loves meeting different children.
Mollie (the Labrador dog ) is great with the children and the children love her as well, It is a home from home setting which is great!!
Home cooked dinners which I love and daughter always eats every last bit!
My daughter has always been somewhere different each week and tells me (we done this at Bec's house or been here with Bec's 🙂
I would highly recommend Bec's as a childminder to go to!
she has lovely home and family.

Bec is an excellent childminder, she has been looking after my son for almost a year, my son loves spending time with Bec and her family, she offers a warm, caring, safe and friendly environment, it’s like a home from home. She does lots of fun activities indoors and outdoors with the children and often takes them out to messy play, parks etc I couldn’t recommend her enough.

As a foster carer I am extremely careful who i leave my children with and only choose the best. I have been leaving my foster children with Bec over the last 4 years whilst I attend meetings and appointments, she has an excellent understanding of the additional needs these very vulnerable children have. She has a calm and gentle manner towards the children whist at the same time applies age appropriate boundaries consistently which makes them feel safe and secure. Her family are a real asset to her business and welcome each child who visits their home as an additional loved family member. Bec offers a proper home from home experience and I really can't recommend her highly enough.
