About Me
My name is Joyce and I am an OFSTED Registered childminder and a member of the PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR CHILDCARE AND EARLY YEARS.
I am fit, energetic and enjoy dancing and music. I love books and read to children at every opportunity in and out of my setting. I am very enthusiastic about child development and seeing how children make links while enjoying their learning. Being a part of this is very exciting.
My passion is very much in my own business, which is developing good relationships with parents and carers. I enjoy working for myself while using the experiences I have acquired as a Nursery nurse while being a part of childcare services in nurseries.
I have two very studious daughters who attend local secondary schools and who are very supportive good girls.
Good food is very important and I respect family choices when it comes to the food they eat and the celebrations. I personally eat well and therefore provide healthy balanced meals.
My home is very close to Windmill Park on Whitehorse Road and I frequent this en route to childminding groups and play dates. I also regularly meet with other childminders for play dates, farm outings and other local provisions. Thornton Heath and South Norwood Libraries are a brilliant avenue to enjoy reading, singing and rhyme time groups and I take full advantage of these.
My Experience
I have been working in local nurseries for the past couple of years. My role extended to all areas of childcare and administration. I was responsible for informing parents of their child's activities and developments during the day. Parent partnership is very important to me in order to deliver the best care for a young child according to what parents want and expect for their little one when they are not able to be with them.

I am currently booked in various different development courses and read about child development and Schemas every day. Child development is something of a passion.
My Availability
I have capacity for one baby or toddler and am currently taking enquiries for immediate start as well as advance bookings for September with the new school year fast approaching.
As a mother of two older children I remember the challenges of being a working parent with babies and younger children. I try to accommodate for the needs of local families as much as possible and am currently very flexible.
Closest schools to my setting:
Whitehorse Manor - 5 minutes walk
The Crescent - 8 minutes walk
Elmwood and Ecclesbourne 10 minutes walk
My setting is situated just 15 minutes walk to May Day hospital.
Buses 468, 50 are very close, along with 198, 450 and 250 which are only a couple minutes walk to the closest stop.
Selhurst Rail Station is just 10 minutes walk.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
I have full day and half day rates as well as hourly rates according to the requirements for parents.
