About Me

Thank you for enquiring about my childminding services. Here is just a snapshot about me! First and foremost I am a Mum to Isabella and Joel, the most important and hectic job in the world! I have first hand experience of juggling a family and full-time work and completely understand that this is the norm for the majority of families nowadays. In 2014, I gave up my full-time teaching job to start up my own business childminding. This has given me a perfect opportunity to care for my own children and continue to nurture and teach those who come into my care. I have always been local to Stafford, training at Stafford College to become a Nursery Nurse. After qualifying in 1997, I worked at Leasowes Primary School, in Stafford, managing their before and after school club and working as a Nursery Nurse in their Reception classroom. In 2000, I took the next step in my career, flying the nest to Birmingham University, where I qualified as a Primary School Teacher. Since qualifying in 2004, I have taught in a Walsall School and a Rugeley School for 10 years. This has given me a great building block to base my business upon and I consider myself to have expert knowledge about children’s development, individual needs and learning. My main aim is to offer a fun-filled, educational and friendly ‘Home from Home’ environment where children can learn and develop at their own individual pace. I can offer a flexible, secure, competitive, reliable service to parents to accommodate their individual childcare needs. I have a designated playroom and garden fully equipped for different age ranges. I hold all relevant, up-to-date qualifications required by Ofsted and my services are underpinned by Ofsted’s regulations. Myself and my husband, John, have full police clearance to work with children.
