My Summary
About Me
I have been a registered childminder since 12th July 2013 with the Ballymena Health & Social Trust to mind a maximum of 6 children (3 under compulsory school age and 3 over). I am married and have 2 children aged 5 and 2. I am current member of NICMA, the professional body registered childminders.
My aim is to provide a nurturing childcare facility, which encourages children to develop in a warm, stimulating, homely environment where they are valued as individuals. By working in partnership with each parent we can ensure that each child and their family needs are met.
Each child is valued and its well-being, development and learning are the main focus of everything that I do.
Once you wish for me to care for your child I encourage you to visit with your child for short periods of time and then to leave your child for a few hours to help him/her settle. I have a two-week ‘settling in period’ which we can agree that the start of the childminding arrangement, during which the notice period will not be required if either party wishes to end the arrangement,
I try as much as possible to work closely with parents regarding each child’s routine. Each morning I provide a healthy snack around 10:30am. I provide lunch at 12:30pm. A healthy mid afternoon snack is also provided. Each day we go outside regardless of the weather, this may be to the shops, parks, back garden, library. I will take children to swim, farm, beach, the zoo and museums during holiday.

Kitty was childminder for my son between September 2013 and June 2014. She executed her duties in a thorough and sonscientious manner. She provided a homely and family orientated environment to which my son settled in very quickly and became very comfortable. Se provided an excellent regime of mentally stimylating activities and physical exercise. I would have nohesitation in recommending Kitty as a childcare provider.
P.S My son left Kitty for my wife is off work for now. He is missing Kitty and her family so much.
