( SETTLING SESSIONS) to make sure both child & parents are happy before they start Busy Bees Childcare !! This is to give parents a peace of mine , as I am a parent myself and understand that it's hard to leave your child sometimes with someone new , but I can reassure parents that children are very happy at Busy Bees Childcare and love to attend my setting each day as time goes fast when they are having fun & learning through play with their friends and attending different toddler groups each week !
I am based at bower manor by the Tesco’s shop! My opening times are from Mon to Fri from 8.00am to 5.00pm
I have been Ofsted registered for 23 years now. I am a friendly, Caring, Professional Ofsted registered childminder , with 24 years experience working with young children from the age of 2 months old up to 3 years old . I have up to date relevant qualifications which includes Level 3 Diploma for the children and young people’s workforce – early learning and childcare.
New to Busy Bees Childcare !
I am proud of the new Children’s play room and rainbow garden, which is very safe and child friendly. The play room is very colourful with lots of fun visual learning aids to help the children learn lots whilst playing. The play room has large windows for the children to look out into the rainbow garden, with a playhouse. The children have ride in cars and other play equipment like sand /water tray, tent & tunnel, so the children have great fun in the garden playing and learning at the same time.
I enjoy doing lots of fun learning activities with the children at home. Also we attend the toddler groups, library , messy play , soft play centres and park. I am a caring person and have a good sense of humour. I put 100% into my job and have positive feed back form parents who use my service. I have excellent references. I have an enclosed and secure garden, with plenty of toys. Parents are updated on their child's progress though WhatsApp. To book your child's place you will have to fill in a registration form . Please call, txt or email for a friendly chat or more information and I will be happy to help !
My Experience
I was a children's nanny after leaving college, and looked after children from 2 months to 3 years old, which I enjoyed. I have always had children around me as I come from a big family. Busy Bees have been running for 23 years and is a happy safe, fun learning environment from home to home. I have had lots of experience of working with children of all ages. I have an excellent Ofsted report which makes my job worth while. I find that children put a smile on my face and there is never a dull moment they keep you going and everyday is different.
I treat the children as if they were my own and once they have started Busy Bees they are like one of the family. I also encourage their development through planned activities around the EYFS and they also have the chance of free play. This helps them to achieve all their learning goals throughout their Early years and gives them the best start in life. The children have the best of both worlds as they have the chance of playing with lots of other children through attending toddler groups. Then when they are at my Busy Bees Childcare setting they also have one to one attention and learning in small numbers of up to three children at a time , which is great as they can learn more like this than in big groups of children. Another advantage is that your child will have the same key worker everyday, which is myself and I find that the children settle better and build a strong relationship with me, as this is important for them to learn and have fun. Once the children have attended Busy Bees childcare they will find it’s like their second home and look forward to attending each week to have fun and learn lots in busy bees play room and enjoy going out and about to baby/toddler groups , Library , and the park, each week.
We love singing nursery rhymes from our singing box and we also enjoy playing musical instruments with our friends.
Why choose Busy bees Childcare to send your child?
Here are a few reasons why my childcare setting is unique!
I have a play room for the children to play and learn in , plus a lovely rainbow garden for the children to have fun and play outside on both sunny and rainy days, as we can play in the playhouse in all weathers.
I am highly recommended from parents who have used my childcare setting and have excellent references to show.

Busy Bees Childcare has been absolutely perfect for our son Charlie. Charlie was 10 months old when Tracey started to look after him and she has cared for him for the last 6 months. Charlie has learned so much in the time he has spent with Tracey at Busy Bees Childcare. We love the fact that Tracey is always doing activities with Charlie, whether that was at Busy Bees or ‘out and about’ at play groups, the park, the library and more! We always receive regular updates on Charlie’s progress and new skills. Tracey’s attention to detail in Charlie’s care was above and beyond what we expected. Charlie would often come home with things he made at Busy Bees, including art and some baking. And amazingly he would always come home absolutely immaculate (I wish we could keep him that clean at home!). Charlie was quick to settle in with Tracey which made life less stressful for us leaving our little man with someone else for the first time. We found Tracey was the perfect step from caring for Charlie at home before he moves onto nursery and school. Busy Bees was amazing value for all round care. We wish we could have kept Charlie with Busy Bees Childcare for longer.

Thank you for the lovely review, much appreciated. Charlie has been a ray of sunshine to look after , bless him. He settled in well from the age of 10 months old and soon made friends with the other children. He was a joy to look after , always happy and full of character, making us all laugh and smile at his little ways. It’s been lovely to see him come on leaps and bounds since starting Busy Bees Childcare setting and he has been a pleasure to look after each week.
It’s sad that Charlie had to leave due to the distance in travelling to Busy Bees childcare setting from his home.
How ever I understand that you had to find childcare closer to your home.
Good luck for future and please keep in touch with me , as it’s lovely to hear from families on how their little ones are doing.
Thank you again for the great review.
Take care

I do not recommend this childminder at all. My little boy had a space, one day a week. He had 2 half day settling in sessions which, on collection, we were told he had a great time and got nothing but compliments. On his second full day, on collection, I was told that he wasn’t settling and wouldn’t stop crying unless he was being held. I was also told he didn’t like the food which I provided for him (it was one of his favourite meals!) and that I would ‘need to feed him when you get home because he will be hungry’ - of course I’m going to feed him when I get home. On the third day, at drop off, I said he may be tired as he had woken for a feed in the night (which is unusual for him). On collection I was told he still hadn’t settled (baring in mind this was only his third time attending) and that he couldn’t return. Comments were made about how my husband is self employed, so could ‘move work around’ to provide care for our son. I was also told I hadn’t provided enough food for my son (I sent 2 meals, a snack and 3 bottles) and ‘you’re obviously not feeding him enough which is why he woke up at night’. I’ve now had to take unpaid leave from work until my little one can have a second day at the childcare setting he attends on another day in the week.
These comments were totally uncalled for and I don’t feel that enough effort or time was given to allow a 10-month old to settle with a new person, in a new setting.
After speaking with other mothers in the area it transpires that my little one is not the only baby which has been ‘kicked out’ of this setting.
If you are looking for someone to look after a baby, this is not the childminder for you, even though it is stated that babies from 3-months old are accepted. It is daunting enough leaving your child with a stranger, but to also have derogatory comments made with regard to feeding is completely uncalled for.

my daughter olivia started with busy bees when she was 9 months old. my first child and i was really nervous about her starting. we went for a show around at busy bees, she made us feel so welcome and has a really lovely, bright and open childcare setting. lots of toys, big garden with loads of toys to play with. Olivia has been there for over a year now and its more than a childminder, tracey takes such a personal interest in your home life aswell which is so lovely. olivia settled in so well and i felt such at ease with her going. olivia is a fussy eater but tracey has been so patient with her and helped us out lots with recommendations to help us. tracey gives us lots of up dates and is always doing so many activities with all the children, from seasonal actives, lots of arts and crafts. always brining little keep sakes to bring home which i know treasure. Olivia's has developed so much since being at busy bees. she has learnt so much. Busy bees has helped olivia become confident and social.
Olivia is now moving on to a nursey which is her next step now, tracey has supported us so much and suggested so nurseries for us to visit and has recommended lots and reassured me about this next stage. if anyone is looking for a kind, caring, supportive and fun child minder in Bridgwater, busy bees is the place.

My son is all smiles when I drop him off and pick him up from Tracey at Busy Bees. HE LOVES IT!
He's made fab little friends and is so very happy and comfortable with the stimulating cosy childcare setting. Tracey is a caring childminder who's intention is to ensure the children had fun with learning along the way. Zachary enjoys trips out to the park, shopping, visiting the library and toddler groups. He's thriving at busy bees and we are very happy with our 5 star choice of childminder.

Myself and my husband both work shifts and it took me a long time to find someone that was willing to work with us and look after my son Aaron in late evenings and some weekends. Tracey was willing to accept those hours and
made it possible for me to go back to work after my maternity leave ended.
I was worried at first of leaving my 10 month old son with someone new. Before Aaron started with Busy Bees, Tracey invited Aaron and I to come round a couple of times, so Aaron could get used to his new surroundings and to Tracey. It didn't take long!
I give Aaron a packed lunch each day and Tracey watches over him and lets me know of any problems.
Aaron had done hand and feet painting and bought these pictures home for us. He also interacts with the other young children Tracey has in her care.
Aaron is now 22 months old and I wouldn't dream of taking him anywhere else. I never worry when he is there and he is happy to go to Tracey's and likes playing with all the toys she provides. Tracey also takes him to Childrens Centres to play and learn, which I am more than happy with.
I would definitely recommend Busy Bees to anyone that needs a childminder to work with shift work and doesn't mind interacting with the childminder on a regular basis to keep up to date on what your child is learning and achieving.
