My Summary
About Me
HI, my name is Rachel and I am an Ofsted registered childminder. I live in Hanham close to Kingswood borders,with my husband and two sons,16yrs and 12yrs.
My setting is a warm, safe, child friendly environment, with a vast amount of toys for all ages and stages to enjoy and learn. I live close to local parks, woodlands,soft plays,libraries and toddler groups,that we visit regularly. I currently have membership to Westonbirt, We the Curious, The Aquarium, Bristol Zoo Project and National Trust.
Whilst in my setting the children enjoy various activities such as
cooking,crafts,singing,outdoor play,reading and playing with the various toys available.
My Experience
I have been an Ofsted registered childminder since July 2014, after successfully completing the relevant qualifications and a Pediatric first aid course.
I previously worked as a lecturer at a local college.
I have always enjoyed being around children, looking after friends little ones and of course having two children myself, has given me a wealth of experience.

Rachel looked after our son for a year. We are so sad to leave her but having to do so due to moving abroad. Rachel has been the most reliable, caring, funny and calm childminder for our little man who was even asking to go to hers at weekends! My husband and I both went to work knowing that he was going to have a great day and be in safe hands. We will truly miss Rachel and her setting.

Rachel has looked after our son now for over 2 years. I was always anxious about leaving him with someone but as soon as I met Rachel she made us feel so welcome and relaxed. I knew Rachel was the right childminder for us.
Rachel is always so professional, caring and kind. Offering a friendly, safe and clean environment.
Our son really enjoys spending time at Rachel’s and interacting with the other children and her family.
Rachel offers a great range of activities to support the children’s development from arts, crafts, forest school, fun at the park, singing and much much more.
Rachel is dedicated to the children she cares for and I would not hesitate recommending her....... We are very lucky she found us.

Rachel has been my sons childminder for just over 2 years and my daughter recently started with her as well. I would not have wanted my daughter to go anywhere else as Rachel has been an amazing childminder for my son.
Rachel is so lovely, gentle and calm and my children both settled in so quickly which demonstrates what a lovely childminder Rachel is.
I found leaving my children hard but Rachel made it so much easier for me and I knew they were in a safe, warm and clean environment.
My son is always so excited to go to Rachel’s house and really enjoys interacting with Rachel’s sons as well who are lovely with the children.
Rachel does a wide range of activities with the children whether it’s being outdoors at the park or indoors doing arts and crafts.
Rachel regularly provides photos and a weekly update about what the children have been doing which my son especially loves to see!
I would have no hesitation recommending Rachel to anyone and I feel very lucky to have found her.

Rachel has looked after my daughter for nearly a year from her age of 7months. When I drop her off, she shrieks with excitement when she sees Rachels house.
Rachel is calm, gentle and confident. When I visited Rachel for the first time, I knew straight off she'd be the right childminder for my baby. She showed me round and showed me all her certificates, including her DBS. Her house is always clean and tidy. Rachel completes a daily diary which is great as sometimes pick up is rushed and I like to know what my daughter has done. She always takes the children out, unless it's really too cold and wet. I wouldn't hesitate at all in recommending Rachel.

Rachel is an outstanding child-minder and human being. My daughter has been with Rachel for nearly a year and I cant fault her. She is flexible, professional and I feel she cares for my daughter like her own children. A lovely person that I wouldn't be able to do without :o)

Rachel has looked after our daughter for 2 years, from age 2 to 4, and she has been a fantastic childminder, helping to develop her in all areas. From the first day, our daughter has always looked forward to going to Rachel’s house. Several times per week she asks: ‘Am I going to Rachel’s today/ tomorrow?’ She’s always sorely disappointed when the answer is no. She clearly gets a lot of stimulation there, with a good variety of toys and activities in the house and garden and lots of outings to parks and other venues. Rachel does some lovely craft activities with the kids, as well as taking them to playgroups, softplay, the community farm and Hanham library for other activities.
Rachel is such a kind, caring, calm and thoughtful person, and her nice house is always immaculately clean. All those clichés about the childminder being a home from home truly apply to her home. Our daughter also gets on very well with the other children in Rachel’s care and with Rachel’s own two lovely, gentle boys. Playing with this small group of friends under the supervision of Rachel has been great for her social skills. Our 5-year-old son sometimes joins his sister at Rachel’s for a few days during the school holidays and he loves it and can’t wait to go.
As our daughter is starting school this year, we’ll soon have to say goodbye to Rachel. We feel very fortunate to have found such a wonderful person to look after our daughter and occasionally our son. We, and they, will miss her lots.
