About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder, I was inspected in February 2015 and graded outstanding. I have been childminding now for 13 years, and still enjoy it :-) I love to see the children start at a young age and blossom over the years to happy confident little people :-)
I have been married to my husband Nic for 15 years now and we have 2 wonderful children, one boy aged 13 years and one girl aged 10 years.
I love to exercise regularly and go to the gym or classes weekly, I also enjoy running and have completed several marathons over the years, and muddy off road obstacle races :-) we are a very active family and do bike rides/swimming/tennis etc as a family in our spare time.
My home is within walking distance of the town centre.
I care for the children in a clean modern,secure and homely environment and the children feel welcomed and excited when they arrive.
My care setting has a large playroom which we use for messy play etc, all of the toys are stored in there and also includes a home corner with a kitchen, shop, lots of dressing up etc, also use the living room for a more relaxed homely environment, I have a large garden which is well maintained, we have a trampoline, big wooden play area, play house, outdoor water play/sandpit and the usual outdoor toys.
We have a set routine which the children love
Mondays cooking at my care setting
Tuesdays is arts and crafts/messy play day ( play dough, gloop,cooked pasta, anything goes!)
Wednesday we visit a local toddler group
Thursday Teddy club ( indoor soft play area for babies/toddlers) or Merry go round ( make believe and story telling)
Friday we visit a different toddler group or go to Merlin's kingdom ( indoor soft play area)
We also feed the ducks, parks, library, finkley down farm, jungle jungle, country walks .........
My Experience
I have been an ofsted registered childminder now for 13 years,I have experience from birth to 12 years. during my college days I did work placements at play schools, drop in centres for young mums, schools, hospitals.

Monday - Friday 7am - 6pm (hours negotiable)

My little boy has been with Tanya days a week since he was 7 months old.I am sad to say that he will soon be leaving her setting to go to school locally to where we live.She has provided endless hours of fun for him and has worked so hard to support his development.She is incredibly flexible and her setting is lovely. She works alongside 2 other ladies,both of which my little boy really likes and has enjoyed being with.
Tanya's setting really is a home from home and is just what my son and I needed when I returned to work after having him. I knew he was well cared for and most importantly happy and safe. I would recommend Turpins Tots to anyone with no hesitation.
