About Me
I am a qualified nursery nurse (NNEB) and registered with Ofsted. (Graded Good)
I am a married mummy to 2 (now adult) children.
We live in a 4 bedroom terrace house on a quiet, but bumpy, private road. We are close to a lovely park, which we visit lots.
We have a small, friendly Lhasa Apso dog, she is none moulting so good for anyone with allergies.
My main interest is to make sure that children in my care feel loved, secure, comfortable and are kept safe at all times and that they learn and expand their horizons every day.
Here at Julia’s House, I enjoy filling our days with lots of fun activities within the home and out and about, my aim is to provide your child with a home from home environment, a place where they can have lots of fun, develop and grow, and do things that you, as parents would do. (Baking, walks to feed the ducks, having cuddles etc - home from home!)
We attend various toddler groups and visit farms, go for walks, and ENJOY OURSELVES!
My Experience
I have been looking after children since my 13th birthday, where I was paid by my local policeman to look after his children once a week and during the occasional school holiday.
I gave up working as a Nursery Teacher, at a private school, when I had my eldest child, as I couldn't leave him in Childcare then look after other children myself!
I have been an Ofsted registered childminder since January 2003.
I have experience with Type 1 Diabetics and have been trained in administering insulin injections for toddlers.
My Qualifications
NNEB (nursery nursing) BTEC National Diploma qualified child care professional
Paediatric First Aid (renewed every 3yrs)
Ofsted Registered
30 years + experience in child care (started at 13!)
Public Liability Insurance.
Food Hygiene.
Dealings with T1 & T2 diabetes
My Availability
No vacancies at present - but usually…..
Monday-Friday 8am-5:30pm (full day),
however, extra hours are available if required... Currently working from 7:30am most days..... Just ask xXx

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
My fees include all applicable meals, snacks and all drinks. Outings, mileage to any outings or soft play/toddler groups, fees for soft play/toddler groups, craft material, toys and equipment are also included.
My fees do not include nappies/pull ups, wipes, baby milk or baby food, suncream or change of clothes.
I accept government funded places! (30/15hrs)

I have used julia for the last 12 years. She is literally a second mum to both my children. Shes honest ,professional, kind,caring. She organises my life as well as the kids lol. Shes not just an employee shes a valued friend. I trust her with my children 10000%. Absolutely can not recommend any more highly !

We enquired with Julia about a childminding space not long after our daughter was born because we wanted to take our time to find the right place for her once she had to start childcare at 11 months. From all options we considered Julia was our first choice: she made us as first-time parents feel at ease straight away and was very friendly and open to answer the many questions we had. Her home felt like the home-away-from-home we wanted to find for our daughter. We were very grateful when she confirmed she had a space available. During the settling in sessions Julia provided us with lots of photos and updates on WhatsApp and a more detailed breakdown of how the day went in conversation on pick-up which reassured us that things were going well. Since then we joined her private Facebook group which updates the parents every evening with photos of the day. We are always looking forward to having a look on there after we pick up our daughter. In addition to taking excellent care of our daughter, Julia got to know her very quickly and has been able to give us some valuable tips based on her experience, for example how to improve naps at home which had been a bit of a struggle before and now work brilliantly. We would fully recommend Julia as a childminder!

Really welcoming and provides a home from home environment, our little boy loved attending Julias and we would recommend Julia to anyone needing local childcare.
