About Me
Hello everyone,
Thanks for reading my profile. My name is Barbara . I am EYFS Ofsted registered childminder based in NG8 area of Nottingham, near Asda Strelley. I am a mother of 2 teenage boys and I live with my Partner of 20yrs, few freespirited cats and 3 budgies. I have a lovely, safe, warm and child friendly house. I'm a friendly, easy going individual.
My ethos is to provide a stimulating environment where all children can learn, explore and develop through play as individuals and gain understanding of the world around them. I'm passionate about Waldorf-Steiner, Reggio Emilia and some Montessori aspects of teaching, about loose parts play, Grimm's, Grapat and more natural healthy way of living. Me and my minded children spend a lot of time outside in nature and mixing with other people. For years I attend various playgroups, usually from 10am to 12noon, meet with other childminders in the park, exposing children to different toys and environments.
I provide a wide range of activities such as:
- Pretended play
- Arts and crafts
- Messy play
- Book reading
- Cooking
- IT( I use LeapFrog leappads)
- Small world toys
- Construction toys
- Water play
- Outings to playgroups and parks
- Physical activities
- Gardening
and many more….
I all time invest in new, good quality toys, games and other educational materials.
I serve home cooked meals made from scratch using fresh ingredients.
I provide healthy snacks, plenty of fruits and vegetables. I have small patch in my garden where together with children we grow some fruits and veg:-)
I have a flexible approach to work, I'm fully insured and have completed all necessary training. I have finished high education and held Masters degree.
I have agreement wuth Nottingham City Council to provide free nursery places for 9 mths old, 2,3 and 4 years old (30h free childcare).
I accept payments through Tax Free childcare, work vouchers and CGPS.

My Experience
I'm mature, responsible person and I have been looking after children for the long time and I have 2 teenage boys of my own so I am up for the challenge. The youngest minded child I looked after was 2 months old.
My Qualifications
I am fully trained up, insured, equipped and can produce all the necessary legal paperwork and certificates upon request.
My Availability
I am mostly available 5 days a week mainly for daycare, but I'm flexible, so the best thing is to contact me and discuss your care needs.
I sometimes can pick up only from Djanogly Strelley Academy. .

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
As a guideline, I usually charge £6.50/hour for day care Monday to Friday. Weekend care and overnight care are priced individually.
All prices include: healthy meals, snacks, and drinks.
They don't include nappies and wipes
Flexible hours
Free nursery places for 2, 3 and 4 years old (15 h for 2 yrs old and 30h for 3 and 4 yrs old)
I have agreement with Nottingham City Council to provide free childcare hours.
I have sign to Tax Free Childcare.
I accept workplace childcare vouchers
I accept payments processed through CGPS (Student Finance)
Full, part time, school holiday can be considered.
