About Me
Hi, I'm Claire, 33, originally from North Wales but have been living in Southampton since 2020. I'm available for part-time and adhoc nanny /babysitting.
I studied Psychology with Child Studies at university and have postgraduate certificates in this area too. I hold the 12 hour Paediatric first aid training certificate and have an enhanced DBS.
I currently work part-time in a children and young adults hospice as part of the family support team there.
For those interested I am Covid vaccinated.
My Experience
I have a lot of experience with children... For a start, I have 8 nieces and nephews who I've often looked after! Sometimes all at once!!!
I have experience of working with children from Newborn - 16 years old as well as with a variety of different special educational needs and disabilities too.
In the summer (2020) I finished working as an assistant psychologist for young girls who had suffered trauma and have previously worked as a nanny / au pair for various families in London. I have also worked as a play therapist for a young, non-verbal, child with Autism.
I have previously done some private tutoring and also have some work experience as a teaching assistant, as well as, voluntary work abroad working in orphanages and teaching English to children there.
I have also taught dance classes to children aged 3-18 years old and worked in a specialist autistic school helping with teaching, after school and weekend clubs for children with Autism and other SEN.
