About Me
My name is Vicki. I live in Lichfield with my husband, teenage daughter and our two cats, Pom and Moshi-Moshi. Our house is on a quiet cul-de-sac set around a communal Green. There is a large garden and patio area, so there is plenty of space to play outside.
I specialise in caring for younger children, up to age 4. I look after 3 little ones each day, and provide a warm, caring home-from-home environment. I offer the same EYFS curriculum as a Nursery, but in a home based environment. We go out and about most mornings; for example to the park, the library, for nature walks and to feed the ducks. We do crafts, baking and activities too, and have lots of fun!
I am happy to share our day with you by sending messages and photos from my phone. You will be able to see what your child has been doing and chat with them about their day once they get home.
My Experience
I have been an Ofsted Registered Childminder since 2014 and I have a lot of experience with children. I am a qualified Primary School teacher, and have taught in Reception. I have experience of teaching reading to this age group, using a phonics based approach. I have also worked as a teaching assistant and in a school kitchen serving dinners!
I have brought up three children of my own: two at University and a daughter in high school.
I have taught English to children and adults in Japan, and I speak Japanese. We learn a little simple Japanese in the setting.

My Availability
I offer wraparound care for school aged children before and after school and in the school holidays. I cover St Joseph’s and Five Spires Academy.
I do have some availability coming up, please ask for details.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
I’m open 7:30am - 5pm and I charge £6 per hour for little ones. I charge a session fee for wraparound care, please ask for details.

Vicki kindly stepped in and offered childcare through the summer whilst my daughters pre school was closed. My daughter absolutely enjoyed every second of her time at Vickis. She did so much in the short time that she was there, I loved the daily updates on WhatsApp with photos of their time out and about doing a range of wonderful nurturing activities. Having had 3 children, all who went through the private nursery system I would thoroughly recommend Vicki to anyone seeking a little more of a personal approach who doesn’t want their child stuck inside a nursery setting all day. What a wonderful summer my daughter has had thanks to Vicki.

Our little one has flourished in her time with Vicki. There's always a range of activities including lots of outdoor stuff which is great and our little one has really enjoyed her time there. Vicki has always been very sensitive and professional and offered advice and reassurance when needed. She will miss her time with Vicki.

In the time Vicki had my daughter she came on leaps and bounds. Her development in such a short space of time really has astounded us. I loved the fact that Vicki takes the children out on mini adventures, exploring nature and learning every day whilst having fun.
I would highly recommend Vicki to anyone looking for a childminder.
A massive thank you to Vicki for everything she has done for us.

Vicki has looked after both of my children from around 9 months old. They are now toddlers and unfortunately moving to pre school. We are very sad to say goodbye as Vicki has been such an important part of the children’s lives. They both talk highly of her and her family who the children have became close to.
Vicki spends a lot of time outdoors with the children and they go on some lovely days out.
She was very supportive whilst our eldest was potty training and teaches the children to be independent.
We are updated throughout the day via what’s app with pictures of what the children have been upto and what they have eaten.
We have always had great communication to ensure we are on the same path and we feel this is very important to be consistent both at home and whilst with Vicki.
Our children are always happy in Vickis care and always excited to see her.
All in all she has been everything and more that we could ask for in a childminder.

Vicki has cared for my son for the past year and had recently started looking after my 6 month old.
My son has formed a lovely bond with Vicki and has always been excited when dropping him off. She has been amazing with him and has contributed towards his development massively.
I love that Vicki does a variety of activities each day and spends lots of time outdoors in the fresh air with the children.
I always look forward to the email diary at the end of each day with photos and a description of what they have been upto :)
I have always been comfortable dropping the children off to Vicki knowing they are well looked after and happy when in her care.
We couldn’t have asked for anymore in a childminder.
