About Me
My Name is Susanne Smith, I continue to enjoy childminding as much as when I started 26 years ago. I have one son Phillip who is 28 and lives in Hong Kong. We foster three children long term. We have joined our house to the property next door, the downstairs area is used for Childminding and includes a large playroom, separate painting and crafting area and outside play area. We have a friendly dog and cat. Pets are not allowed in the childminding area. I offer a wide range of activities and play which are planned to suit the needs of your child. A large part of my service includes outings and outside play, children get dirty but have lots of fun.
My Experience
I have been a Registered Childminder since 1994, I have cared for over 200 children aged 0 - 15 years old. I am a member of RCTs Childminding Network. I am currently taking part in Cwm Taff Health board's "A healthy and sustainable pre school" scheme,
My Qualifications
Cardiff University Foundation Certificate in Social Studies 1998
Nebs Supervisory Management 1996
Cache Certificate in Childminding Practice 2006
NVQ level 3 Caring for Children and Young People 2007
Training in - First aid, Food hygiene, Child protection, Fire Safety, Managing behavior, Attachment, Epilepsy, Adhd, Autism, All areas of children' s health and play.
Training is is revisited annually.

My children love attending Susanne setting. They have so much fun and she’s a great help to our family. And you can really tell she cares so much for the children I have a QCF in childcare myself and I would definitely recommend Susanne to everyone

Both my children have been looked after by Susanne since 10 months old. They look forward to going every week. They are always busy with in house activities or out on day trips, Susanne is very flexible, she drops my daughter and picks her up from playschool, nothing is too much trouble for her. She keeps me updated every week with photos & videos and my children have made many happy memories with their time spent with her. I couldn't be happier with my choice of child minder she is a lovely lady and I'm so glad that I found her.
