I’m delighted to share that my childcare setting was recently rated OUTSTANDING ( recent ofsted inspection 21/02/2025 ) by Ofsted (but honestly, the kids think we’re great!). I currently have vacancies for 15- and 30-hour funding, offering a lively, happy, and educational setting during the week.
My name is Meissa, and I’m an Ofsted-registered childminder based in a spacious 3-bedroom home in the Enfield (EN1) area. I run my setting with two amazing assistants, my husband (who moonlights as a facilities manager at a local school), and my two adorable, school-going children (ages 15 and 13 who only eat my snacks if they think I’m not looking).
We have a large, enclosed garden that’s practically a child’s dream come true—filled with toys, bikes, slides, and enough balls to open a football academy.
With 10 years of childcare experience, I follow the EYFS Framework to provide care that’s tailored to every child. Our goal is To help your little one feel loved, safe, and confident—because happy kids are the best learners (and gigglers)!
• Activities galore: We offer fun, engaging, and educational activities tailored to your child’s interests. Think arts and crafts, messy play, cooking (I promise not to eat the biscuits your child bakes), imaginative play, library trips, and weekly visits to a farm or playgroup.
• Social butterflies in the making: Your child will thrive in a smaller group setting, building their confidence, communication, and social skills.
• Language lessons included: I’m fluent in Arabic and French, so your little one might start counting their snacks in three languages!
• Meals with love: From breakfast to dinner, I provide freshly cooked Halal meals and organic snacks. (Yes, even the picky eaters end up loving my pasta sauce.)
I’m a big fan of cooking, baking, dancing, singing, and exploring the great outdoors. In fact, if it involves fun, energy, and a sprinkle of creativity, I’m in! And the best part? Your child gets to join in too.
We’re based in Pembroke Avenue, EN1 4HA.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
My hourly rate starts at £6.50, depending on the child’s age, individual needs, and parents’ specific requirements. I also offer a daily rate that is not calculated on an hourly basis. This includes all meals (breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner) and outings to enrich your child’s experience.

My Son has been with Maissa three days a week since he was 11 months, he will be starting school in September. Ever since he started she has worked with us to make sure he settled in well with her and the new setting.
I love getting photos from Maissa showing what the kids have been up to, Maissa always has a range of great activities planned. From learning letters, numbers and colours to learning where certain food comes from and why they should brush their teeth. She has a great space for the kids in her house and a wonderful garden they can run, play and do activities in. They use the garden as much as the weather allows. My Son I am sure eats more of the food she makes for him than the meals he has at home.
We are so please we found such a great place that we could feel happy to leave our son while we work, it is really daunting to pick a childcare provider especially when you essentially leaving your kid with a stranger.
Our second is due soon and we will definitely be sending them to Maissa when the time comes.

We feel so lucky to have found Meissa! She is such a wonderful, kind lady who nurtured my 12 month old for 5 wonderful months! Sadly we have now moved out of London so my daughter can no longer go to Meissa's house, which we are devastated about, we will never find someone as good as her again! She is so genuine, thoughtful, trustworthy and friendly and I always felt my daughter was completely safe and loved in her care.
My daughter learnt so much at Meissa's house, her language and mobility came on leaps and bounds whilst there and she learnt to play well with other children. My daughter had separation anxiety at the beginning, being a pandemic baby and quite young, and Meissa and her assistant were so good with her, she settled in so quickly, clearly felt comfortable with them and made friends with the other children. She sent lots of photos and videos to keep me reassured that she was happy. She always gave me a debrief about her day when I picked her up. She showed that she genuinely really cared for my daughter and her development. Meissa makes tasty lunches and dinners for the children and my daughter got to try new dishes which she loved.
I cannot recommend Meissa enough, if you get your child a place with Meissa, you should count yourself very lucky! We really miss her!

From the moment we met Meissa and her family we knew that we'd hit the jackpot to find someone so warm and caring to look after our son ( and now our daughter!) Our children have come on leaps and bounds in their development - every day telling us they've had a good day and looking forward to going in. Our children absolutely adore her. Meissa's house is spotless - the children eat everything she makes ( from scratch) my son also had so many dietary requirements that Meissa was very accommodating with, making sure that he could have the same/similar to the other children so he wasn't left out. The assistants in this setting are also incredible and our children ask when can they come to our house and can they come and play in our garden too. I also love that there is a mix of ages here and the older ones can learn by teaching the younger ones and it's really helped my children develop in their social and other skills like talking. This review doesn't do Meissa justice - she's the most wonderful person and we knew when we first met her children and how great they are that we'd be in very safe hands. If you are able to have a place here you are very lucky indeed!

Maissa looked after our three-year-old son during the summer vacation. From the moment we met her, She put us at ease with her kind, trustworthy, professional manner. Our son really enjoyed his time and came home with lots to talk about. He especially enjoyed playing with other children in her care, he never wanted to go home when I go to pick him up from her house and he is always have a lot of things to talk about when he comes home.She planned activities for him, gave him lunch, and kept us up to date throughout with what he was doing. We have had a lot of experience with childminders over the years and She is up there with the very best. Her house is nice, very clean and well prepared with lots of toys. She always cooks from scratch healthy food for the children. I wish if I knew her and her lovely family before that when my son was little. She is always there to help never let us down. We consider her as our second house. will certainly use her again and would gladly recommend her to anyone looking for care for their child.
She is absolutely the best.

Maissa was looking after my daughter from 2017 to 2019 until she went to Reception, in September of this year she started looking after my son, I was over the moon when I manged to find space in her setting
Maissa is a lovely mum and a childminder , my daughter loved her time with Maissa,also she is well advanced in her class which made me bring my son to her without hesitation because I know he will be well looked after
Maissa is very kind, very friendly and highly professional
I genuinely recommend her for all the parents out there that are looking for childminders
My daughter was always being looked after and as a mum I know from my heart that she is very well looked after In a safe and secure place as I could see how happy she was, now my son cant stop talking about Maissa
Maissa is a happy and always with a beaming smile on her face, you can tell she loves what she is doing
My son is very, very fussy with his food, well now he is like a hoover, he just cant stop eating, her food is to die for :)
Maissa has a beautiful house with a lovely garden better equipped than a nursery
I have visited so many childminders and in all honesty I haven't seen better than Maissa

She has a nice setting but very strange lady, she won’t give you her Ofsted number which is unusual as every provider must give you Ofsted number. Explains why she hasn’t provided her EY number to childcare.co.uk. Save your time and don’t bother.

We don’t provide our registration number without signing a contract , we never had a parent asking for my registration number in the initial visit , and that was very suspicious to us
Meissa has been looking after my twins for a few years now. And what an amazing job she has done. Herself, assistant and family have left footprints in our hearts. From the first time I saw herself and her beautiful clean, loving home, I could only describe as a happy environment that I knew my children would love. Her presence can fill a room with joy. The smell of freshly cooked food ( which my children loved) could be smelt upon pick up, as she opened the door. My children always came out smiling, happy and full of stories about their exciting day. And they would come out clean, so even down to hygiene, she is spot on!! The activities she does with the little ones, amazes me. She has even taught me a thing or 2. And she is so good at giving advice!! She has a wide range of activities and does her upmost to make sure the kids will not be bored. They also learn through play. I have definitely seen the confidence boost the twins have had within themselves. Which has made it easy to start nursery and now reception. The beautiful bond all the children have can only be because of how herself and assistant interact with the children, despite the different age groups, every child is sure to cared for appropriately. From trips to the parks, softplay, farm or even pool days in her garden, I feel she is full of adventures that the children will enjoy. I can not praise them enough for the amazing service they provide. The reassurance they all give to us parents, is superb. It's a shame the children at her setting can not write a review, because I know even they will tell you how much they enjoy being at her setting. Thank you Meissa and her assistant and even her family for all that you guys have done. You have definitely reassured my confidence in childminders. Excellent service, even though to her it's not even like a job, she is naturally just a warming compassionate beautiful woman who just loves to see little ones grow into beautiful clever little children. To make them happy and confident is what she finds rewarding, as for any parent, this is what we want. Excellent brilliant fantastic!! 10/10 Thank you!!!

Since Jamie started at Meissa's setting at 8 months old, we never looked back. At our first meeting we could tell her passion for looking after children was genuine, she welcomed us in her setting as first time parents, worried about leaving our precious baby with someone we didn't know. Day after day, she proved she could not only be a fantastic Childminder, but a great Teacher and a invaluable support system for both Jamie and us.
Jamie bloomed in front of our eyes, both physically and mentally, he was never bored of the activities she gave him and made great friends with all the children, including Meissa's children, that Jamie love like his brother and sister. The nutritious and various meals she cooked from scratch, every day, are definitely one of the reasons Jamie is not a picky eater, he loved Meissa's cooking!
In the three years we've been with Meissa, she has always been positive and forthcoming if anything came up that needed sorting, she's been incredible when our youngest son was born, and we're gutted we moved away and we can't continue our journey with her as our Childminder for our second born.
She will always be part of our family, we will always be grateful to have had her in our life, and we miss her dearly.
To every parent out there, if you ever manage to get a place with Meissa, you'll be the happiest parents in the world.

Maissa is a lovely mum and a childminder , my daughter loves her sooo much , Maissa’s house is our second home .
I can’t thanks her enough for all her efforts and for what she is doing to improve my daughter
Maissa is very kind , generous and very professional
I heighly recommend her for all the parents out there

Meissa is a lovely lady who is a natural with children. She looks after my son during the day three days a week and my daughter after school the same three days. I've honestly never seen them so happy and settled before! My daughter has mild ASD and Meissa is great at reassuring her when she gets anxious and my son used to be quite clingy but is now so contented. :-)
They have the best time at Meissa's house, they eat well (she is a great cook), have lots of fun and never want to leave!!! I also feel completely comfortable that they are being safely cared for whilst I'm at work and they are learning lots of new things as well. I'm so glad we found her! xxx
