My Summary
About Me
Hi! My name is Emma and I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder. I live in the Bush Fair area of Harlow with my husband Dean, our daughter Ruby and our twin boys Teddy and Harry who are 3 . We have 2 very small dogs, Kane and Hugo.
My home is very caring and all children are made to feel welcome and valued.
We have lots of fun and like to be creative.
We enjoy doing outdoor activities when we can; we go out for picnics, farm trips, to the park, feed the ducks, and where possible, we attend many local play groups during the day.
We also enjoy cooking, baking, planting and creative activities such as painting and drawing and making things together. .
I offer support to after school children with their homework and I work along the EYFS guidelines.
From September 2022, I am able to offer school drop off and pick ups from William Martin Primary School.
My Experience
I was a full time childminder for 3yrs in Loughton before going back to work as an LSA in Ongar working 1:1 with an autistic child. I found this job very rewarding, although hard work at some points but I built an amazing relationship with the child I worked with. I then became a Childminder Assistant in Takely where we looked after up to 9 children per day, all under the age of 3, the youngest being 9mths. I have experience of looking after children from newborn up until secondary school age.
I have a close group of friends who are childminders and we always like to get together for days out and have lots of fun.
I have looked after my nieces and nephews since they were babies and have lots of experience with children as I worked in a school as a general class LSA for 4 years before becoming a childminder. I also have experience of looking after twins and newborns.

I have:
CYPOP in Home Based Childcare with Pacey

Full, Clean Driving Licence

Emma is a friendly and caring childminder with a wealth of experience. She is very relaxed with our 9 month old. We feel comfortable and safe leaving Alfie with her for extended hours. Her care is child centered and she obviously has a real love for the children she looks after. She is always giving the children opportunities to try new things and have new experiences and encourages the children to interact with each other. Alfie has a great time and always comes back home smiling and happy. He is very comfortable to reach out to Emma when he feels he would like cuddles and comfort (something comforting to see as a parent). It is obvious how natural looking after little ones comes to her - you can see this by the relationship she has with her little girl.
Communication between home and childminder is exemplary, with Emma feeling like an extension of us as parents rather than just a carer.
