About Me
Hi I am Kate, a mature (57) experienced childcare provider working with children in nurseries, after school clubs and as a private nanny. I have a clean driving licence which I have held for for over 25 years without any accidents or claims. I have kept up to date with the latest early years foundation guidelines and am a firm believer in learning through play. I am happy to lend a hand with light housework but will always put a child's needs first.
I renew my pediatric 1st aid every 3 years and am subscribed to the Dbs update service so am automatically checked each year.
I am an animal lover so I'm more than happy to look after family pets too .
My previous employers are very happy to give written and verbal references.

My Experience
I began as a nanny/ mothers help when I left school. I had sole charge of a 1 year old and a 5 year old for 2 years.
I helped at my local toddler group after my son was born and qualified to level 3 nursery nurse once my children were older. I have worked in private nurseries in the baby room and then the 3-5's group. I have supervised an after school art club for a couple of years and during the summer term ,holiday art clubs. I also worked for the same company assisting children at mother and toddler arts and craft groups and helping at children's party's and wedding creches.
I have two years experience at a forestry school where I worked in the nursery as well as the after school and holiday clubs . I am now employed as a nanny again, working before and after school .
My Qualifications
Diploma in preschool practice . ( level 3 ) .
Paediatric 1st aid.
APU 1st year Certificate in counselling children and adolescents
I have attended many courses whilst working in early years settings including a series of talks about autism, safeguarding, prevent duty and the role of Equalities Co-ordinator.
I have business class insurance on my car so school runs etc would be covered.
My Availability
I now have a new position starting in September. I will only be available for adhoc babysitting.

We would highly recommend Kate! She has been an invaluable support for our family over the last 5 years.
Kate is 100% reliable and has been very flexible, supporting our often changing needs and circumstances.
She has provided a caring and stable environment for our daughter. Whilst we're sad that we no longer will have Kate in our daily life, I'm sure she will still be part of our support network, even if it's to look after our cats!
