I am a level 3 qualified Ofsted Registered Good (just had a inspection 12 March 2020 )Childminder in the Blidworth area of Mansfield.
I’m 46 years old, I live with my lovely partner who is a serving fire officer for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service, and we have 2 children aged 17 & 14 plus our very friendly spaniels Florence & Bodhi & hooper & Lottie We live close to Blidworth oaks school and I'm happy to do school runs.
I am fully insured, hold a current Paediatric First Aid Certificate and both myself and my partner have enhanced CRB police checks. I have suitable insurance and car seats to take to take the children out in my car.
I live in a good sized house with a lovely garden and large playroom, and we're local to a number of shops, parks, libraries.
I’m Accredited childminder (I'm able to offer free nursery places (15 hours of free childcare per week-30 hours if you fulfil Government set criteria)
We have a strong emphasis on the value of play, especially outdoors, and the children are encouraged to explore and discover, learning through whatever grabs their interest

My Experience
As with all childminders my setting uses the EYFS and Early Years Outcomes to insure all children reach their full potential through daily experiences, challenges in a caring and secure environment
Whilst being professional, I am an open, caring, honest person who truly believes in treating people how you wish to be treated yourself. I am firm, but fair when required to be and always have the wellbeing of the child foremost in mind.
Your child's individual needs are taken into account on starting with me and planned for and nurtured throughout their time with me. I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage's guidance and plan for your child activities on their own individual level, taking into account what stage of development they are at and plan their next steps. Your child would be encouraged to participate and made to feel welcome by his peers in my home.
I have procedures and policies in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of your child and numerous amounts of activities and resources in place to enhance your child's time with me.
I’ve been childminding for 15 years and have enjoyed seeing children thrive and achieve there goals with myself.

I work Monday to Friday from 7.30am till 6pm
(but if needed these can be changed if your work shifts)

I contacted Lea concerning emergency childcare for my daughter for a week which she was able to accommodate! My daughter has settled in really nicely and it was her first time going into a childcare setting so I’m really pleased with Lea! Lea is absolutely amazing with her and the other children, she updates me throughout the day about my daughter and now I want my daughter to continue attending with Lea after the one week! Honestly don’t have anything bad to say! Thank you Lea!
