About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder employing two assistants based in Halling, Nr Rochester. I offer a good balance between a home from home environment and a small nursery, due to the increased number of children I am Ofsted registered for. I have a designated playroom which enables children to partake in messy play and sensory play daily. Having a designated play room also enables us to display photos and artwork which gives the children a lovely sense of belonging and inclusion within the setting. The playroom also gives us the opportunity to follow the interests of our children by planning activities to engage and fire up their imaginations in a larger space. We follow the statutory requirements stipulated by Ofsted and an education programme based on the Early Years Foundation Stage framework which provides children with resources and opportunities to develop naturally in a way that is unique to each individual child. Children will benefit from a wide range of activities including messy play, cooking, arts and crafts.
In our fully enclosed garden we have a large sand/digging area with wheelbarrows, a mud kitchen and various ride on trikes, scooters and slides. We also use the garden to grow our own seasonal vegetables and fruit. We are currently working on the garden to increase the number of loose parts such as wooden planks and natural resources available, together with a new resources aimed at meeting the needs of our younger babies.
My Experience
I have been working as a childminder for nine years. I also have 25 years experience as a full time mum. I have also been involved with children whilst volunteering at a local preschool and ran a Cub Scout group for 8 years. I have previously been involved with running children's literergy and mother and toddler groups within local church. I also have experience providing care for twins.
My Qualifications
I have completed a level 3 qualification in the Children and Young Persons Workforce, and have been graded 'GOOD' by Ofsted. I am currently working towards an Early Childhood degree with The Open University.
My staff have either completed or are working towards a level 3 qualification in early years. All staff members have DBS clearance, Paediatric first aid, safeguarding level 3 and have been trained on childcare specific courses to increase their knowledge base, and provide positive and inclusive opportunities for children to learn through play.
My family and I have all passed CRB clearance and have been assessed as suitable to live on childminding premises by Ofsted.
My Availability
My working hours are 7am - 6pm, but would consider outside of these hours if necessary.
I can offer the following : Full time, Part time, term time only, school holidays only, weekends and shift work cover. I am available for babysitting in your own home and am happy to provide emergency cover where possible.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £8.50 per hour
- Childminding from £4.50 per hour
My fees are £4.50 per hour Monday to Friday.
Weekend minding would be £4.50per hour.

Claire and her colleagues are brilliant. Efficient, proactive and overall excellent.
They looked after my son for a couple of years and Harry loved being there. Due to change of circumstances personally Harry could no longer attend otherwise I would have loved to have kept him there.

Claire and her assistants cared for my son from 6 months to 2 years, until my second child was born and our home/work balance shifted and we were able to care for both of our children at home. If we still required childcare (or indeed ever did again) Claire would be at the top of our list.
My son enjoyed his time with Claire, was excited to go and learned a great deal from his time there.
The contact book was a great way to ensure messages went both ways, and the files with the key stages met and photos are a real joy to read.
My son had allergy issues too and Claire was excellent at ensuring Sam was well looked after in this regard too.

As a fellow Early Years practitioner as soon as I met Claire and her family I was immediately put at ease and felt confident that she was the perfect person to look after our twin boys.
We loved the home from home feel and the manner in which she made us as a family feel welcome.
From their first day, the boys have thoroughly enjoyed going to her and with her excellent assistants, have helped to nurture and shape their individualities. She has been more than accommodating when we are in need of extra sessions or as a reference of support when we are unsure about their development.
She provides a range of toys and activities for them and has a fabulous outdoor environment which they adore. The food she provides is nutritious and well-balanced.
When we pick them up at the end of a day it is lovely to see them so happy and content and this makes us feel reassured that they are having a wonderful time in a safe and secure environment.
We would like to thank Claire and her assistants for all they do.

From the first time I met Claire, I could see that she was organised, professional & knowledgeable, yet keen to provide friendly, relaxed, home-from-home care. As a parent herself, Claire also explained she understood the importance of maintaining open & clear communication with parents so as to reassure & inform them.
I was impressed to see that she had a wonderful environment;
Spacious, clean, in a nice location & having a play room full of many wonderful toys. I was equally pleased to learn as we spoke, that she was a believer of interacting with the children & engaging in activities with them; whether it be playing board games, everyday life based games
(For example; hairdressers) or involving the children in light household tasks - such as laying the table, giving the children a sense of importance & independence.
On the first meeting between Claire & my daughter, it was clear that Claire knew how to interact with children & create a welcoming atmosphere that would instantly put them at ease.
Claire has since gone on to provide top-level care for my daughter for almost 3 years. Both Claire & her family welcomed my daughter warmly to their home & have formed great bonds over the years.
Whilst in her care, My daughter has received: a varied, yet balanced & nutritious diet (With occasional treats), a wide range of outings &
fantastic support with her education - including homework.
There has never been an occasion when my daughter has not wanted to go to Claire, she has always looked forward to it with great enthusiasm & once I have collected her, has been full of happy & fun tales of what has happened during the day.
It is sad that circumstances have become such that now Claire can't be my daughters child minder, however a lot of happy memories have been made & Claire will never be forgotten by us.
I cannot recommend Claire highly enough.
It is clear to see that child minding is more than just a job for Claire. Her passion for what she does is obvious.
She is a natural, simply it is as if she was born to do this.
