My Experience

Childminding Assistant:
I worked with a Childminder located in the Borough of Barking and Dagenham. I worked with babies aged 10 months to children aged 7 years old. I have planned activities according to child's needs and prepare them using age convenient resources. I have carried out observations on children to find out child's development needs. Going on trips to museums,farms,library and park teaching children about the world through the local community. Playing with children and making them feel safe and secure, comforting them when they are upset.

During my experience of working with a family. I have worked with 2 children in the family. Girl aged 7 years old and boy aged 3 years old. I have prepared fresh meals for children. I have dropped off and pick up child from school. Attending play dates, attending children centre sessions with the younger child. Giving them bath and potty training. Going out on outing to the library, swimming sessions, theme parks and many more. Teaching them to speak another language.

I have over 5 years experience of working in a nursery. I planned activities according to children's needs. I have carried out observations on children in order to find out the needs of the child. During my practice of working with children I have always taught children general hygiene manners such as encouraging them to wash their hands regularly. I have carried out activities to encourage children to eat healthy. I have prepared healthy meals and healthy snacks for children. I have worked in different nurseries located in London and Essex.

During my experience of working with a family. I have learnt many things from children. I have worked with 5 children in the family. Girl aged 8 years old, another Girl aged 6 years old, A Boy aged 3 years and twins a boy and a girl aged 10 months old. I have prepared formula milk for babies. I have also prepared healthy snacks for children. I have been going out with the family such as going out shopping with the children, going for hospital appointments and school runs.

During my experience of working in a school. I have supervised children in the classroom, in the playground helping children within areas of the national curriculum for example reading books,writing, maths, spelling using phonic sounds and science. Playing with children in play time and encourage them to join in the activities. Supporting children with learning or behaviour. Organising classrooms and preparing resources for lessons.
