Hi my name is Amy Cartmill from Cherubs Childminding i have just been rated outstanding on my recent ofsted inspection. I live in Newton Abbot with my husband, 5 year old daughter and our dog who has been a part of our family for 9 years and is amazing with children.
My Experience
I have 9 years experience working in private day nurseries and as I have a 5 year old daughter of my own I have plenty of hands on experience too! I want to use my knowledge and experience to provide high quality child care in a relaxed and friendly home environment. We have a dedicated play room filled with lots of exciting toys and activities just waiting to be explored! I have plenty of experience using the curriculum 'The Early Years Foundation Stage' (EYFS) so aim to provide your children with well planned exciting activities and outings, based on their current interests to help them learn and develop to their full potential.
My Qualifications
Rated outstanding on my first ofsted inspection (june 2016). I hold the child care qualification NVQ Level 3 in Children's care, learning and development. I have also completed the course 'CYPOP5' understand how to set up a home based child care service. I hold certificates in Paediatric first aid and level 2 Safeguarding. I have also attended many more child care related courses such as EYFS training and courses related to SEN. I have also been a setting SENCO 'special educational needs coordinator' .
My Availability
I am registered to provide day, night and weekend care and can provide school holiday care as well. My main working hours are 8-6 but I am happy to work outside these hours for an additional hourly fee. I cover Haytor View primary school in Newton Abbot. Early years spaces available on a Tuesday and Thursday from September 17 and a Monday, Thursday and Friday from January 18.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.50 per hour
£4.50 ph or a set minimum fee of £36 (under 8 hours)
my main working hours are 8-6 mon to fri but I can work outside these hours for a fee of £6.75 per hour of additional care.

Amy has looked after my son since he was 9 months old and he has recently left for pre school... Amy did a fantastic job, has a lovely home, activities for the children, very reliable and always helpful! My son loved it and he was ready to go to pre school confident and thriving thanks to Amy. Would highly recommend!
