About Me
I am based in Woodstock, Oxfordshire. I am a primary school teacher, currently working at a school in Oxfordshire teaching Year 3. I am looking for a position where I can apply my breadth of skills and experience in teaching and caring for young children in friendly home settings, supporting parents and families in one of the most challenging jobs out there in raising well rounded, happy, healthy children!
My experience and expertise in primary education (particularly Birth-8 Years) for the past 17 years has allowed me to develop tools and strategies to offer practical help and advice on all things early years/primary aged children. I have a background in health and well-being, including a yoga teaching qualification, and a strong interest in promoting physical and mental health, therefore I naturally prioritise building children's emotional resilience and attitudes towards overall health and building life skills. As a mother of two boys (10 and 13), I have developed feel strong feelings towards helping children to build awareness of how they can keep themselves mentally and physically safe, e.g. in relation to being online, connecting with others or helping to develop healthy attitudes towards eating well and sharing experiences. I'm also skilled in teaching Maths and developing children's confidence and enjoyment in the subject.
My service can be tailored to your needs, but include a range of aspects/types of support. This can involve:
- tuition and homework help for children up to 11 years;
- support with behaviour and setting routines;
- supporting children and parents with SEND;
- home organisation/routines;
- general child development intervention e.g. toilet training, sleep advice and general assistance with all things early years.
This is not an exhaustive list, as I understand parenting brings up all sorts that we are not prepared for!

Personal Attributes:
I am fun, energetic and nurturing and find nothing more rewarding than to help young children learn and grow. I like to encourage children to share enjoyment in simple things like nature and being outdoors, and I love to share stories and songs. I have a love and passion for language and prioritise quality interactions with children in my care. We would have fun, laugh, joke, tell stories and talk about just about everything!
I am keen to be outdoors, I love to cook and involve children preparing and enjoying healthy food. I am active and enjoy a healthy lifestyle and believe that being creative and having fun with children is key to help children develop their confidence and self esteem. I am always keen to help children to become independent and have a firm but fair and positive approach towards handling behaviour and empowering children to make their own choices and develop skills in emotional regulation.

My Experience
I have a wealth of experience working with/teaching/caring for children (predominantly between Birth and 8), as well as tutoring and casual nannying experience. I have had 17 years of primary teaching experience (predominantly in Early Years/KS1 3-8year olds). I have also worked in an advisory capacity for a private nursery chain, where I promoted quality teaching and learning such as helping staff with positive interactions and creating rich learning environments.

My Fees
- Tutoring from £35.00 per hour
Nannying - £20-£25 per hour, depending on age/number of children and your specific requirements
Education/Consultancy/Tuition - £30-45 per hour, again dependant on requirements.
