Hannah has worked with our three kids (2,5 and 9 years) full-time for the last two years. She has proven great with all ages, from infants to school age, and has coped well with the simultaneous demands presented by long days with three. She has facilitated school drop off, play dates with friends or childminders, activities, swimming lessons, preparing and clearing lunch/dinner, as well as short-notice care upon illness or strikes. She really took the time to get to know each kid individually and is great at finding things that they love. She's very warm and caring, and firm when needed, communicating clearly with the kids. She has been very punctual, dependable and helpful, sharing her plans and able to adapt to our needs. We have been able to leave the kids with her feeling confident that they are in good hands, and knowing that at the end of the day we can focus on enjoying time with the children.
We've found her very helpful to work with on issues like toilet training and getting the kids to try new foods. She's proactive and independent in organising local activities (swimming, music class, soft play etc) for the younger ones in the school day and bigger outings in the school holidays. She has loads of great craft ideas and gets the kids to make lovely cards, collages and paintings for special occasions like Christmas, Easter and Mothers' Day. She has been very responsive to our parenting choices and keeps us abreast of the kids' play, emotions, health and progress, including updates from e.g. teachers.
Our youngest will be starting pre-school full-time so unfortunately we'll no longer need a full-time nanny. It has been a pleasure having Hannah as our nanny; we and the kids will be very sad to see her go.
