About Me
We are a friendly family based in Compton, near Guildford looking for a part time nanny/housekeeper (£17.50 per hour) to help with our two boys aged 10 and 13. This is a year-round position from 3pm-7.30pm Monday to Thursday (with the option of working longer hours from 8am-7.30pm in the school holidays, if of interest).
Our two boys are kind with a good sense of fun. They love playing on their computers and board games but need to be encouraged to go outside. The youngest has dyspraxia and needs some extra support with social skills and homework.
My Requirements
DUTIES
Be at home for when younger child arrives home from school (in taxi).
Take youngest to swimming lesson 1 x week.
Collect older child from school at 5.15.
Supervise homework and make dinner for children.
Parents arrive home at 7.30pm
Light household duties (kids' laundry & beds; unload dishwasher; put away groceries 1x per week; keep kids’ bedroom and living area tidy and clean - you aren't expected to clean the rest of the house, organise kids' clothes and school-related admin ) )
During holidays - encourage age-appropriate activities at home and take children on occasional days out, make dinner for children, light household duties as above
Start date: ASAP
Salary: £17.50 p/h gross - works out at £16,400 for basic hours (3pm-7.30pm Mon-Thurs year round), or rises to £23,400 if working longer hours from 8am to 7.30pm in school holidays (but later is optional)
Paid holiday (5.6 weeks) and pension contributions (extra 3% on top of your salary)
Own car essential (will pay mileage)
DBS check needed but Ofsted registration not required
